I swap between these and AirPods Pro 2. But these definitely take the lead when I want something a little more beefy. And the battery life is also excellent, I’ve had them for 4 months and only had to charge them twice. Give em a try!

Noise canceling really is the best, especially on planes. Sound quality is excellent, plenty of bass that can be adjusted as well. Mids and highs are crisp. Good build quality, comfortable, easy user interface, intuitive controls.

The Best Headphones I've Used

To me it all comes down to fundamentals: the sound and noise canceling quality are unrivaled. The headphones were comfortable and surprisingly slim for this type of headphone. Given the press about the 1000X line I expected the quality to be great, but I also found some unexpected surprises in the touch interface, notably being able to “cover” your ear cup with your hand to pull in ambient sound and lower the volume so you can hear something or talk with someone for a second. Another surprise was how much customization is at your fingertips with the Headphones Connect app. Any complaints I have are generally pretty trivial: the included USB cable is laughably short and isn’t of much help, and the badges in the Headphones Connect app felt a bit egregious when you clear out a notification dot because you changed an EQ setting. I easily got past both of those knowing the fundamentals are rock solid. For anyone in the market for a pair of premium headphones, I can’t recommend these enough.

But, like anything else, they do come with a flaw. During intense work outs they do tend to fall easier.

Comfort, sound, ANC, features all Great. Daughter just got the Beats Pro these are way better! ( little more bulk but lighter weight)… Forget about the Apples, your paying for the name, sound wise, these XM5 annihilate the Apples. Touch Controls are fluent, effortless & responsive. Sony APP lets you control everything, adjust sounds to your liking etc. I own the XM5 ear buds as well ( my Pros collecting dust) Tried the Bose as well, wasn’t for me… Believe all the reviews , get these XM5’s ands you’ll see why they are the Top Rated headphones.. Disclaimer: ears do get warm when wearing for cardio…

I fell in love with my apple airpods for their noise cancelling, especially when flying, they were a lifesaver but on long flights they would run out of battery. After a little research I settled on these and am very happy. Excellent sound which is rich and detailed in subtle ways, too many headphones try to overcome poor sound quality with excessive bass. Good battery life and superior noise cancelling, I have not tried the mic feature yet.

Not worth the upgrade if you already have the XM3.

I won both the 700 n 900 series plus two version of THE 1000(XM3/XM5). For you bass head, the into 710is a good start and for anyone wanting to get more serious the 910. The XM3 was one of the best headphones out there in the market doe the longest time and there is a reason why. With thousands of satisfied reviews...its a no brainer. I was about to get the XM4 but decided to skip it. The XM5 is a good improvement but honestly, I keep going back to my 910 bass headphones. The reason is...its not as loud as I had hope not did it have enough clarity in its bass that made me go ooohh and ahhh. The noise cancelation is pretty amazing but the updated XM3 is quite the contender. If you have the XM4...just wait for the update because when the XM3 got its update, it improved over the XM4. My friend has it and when we compared...it sucks to buy a new model to only have an old model get better through update* which I'm surprised Sony is even good at.

Turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device.
Connect the Bluetooth device to the headset once again.
Reset the headset.
Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.
Note: Depending on the connected device, the volume of the device and the headset may or may not be synced. If the volume on a device is not synced to the volume on the headset, it will not be possible to use the device to turn up the volume on the headset once the volume is turned down on the headset.
In that case, turn up the volume of both the headset and the connected device.

Noise canceling is outstanding. I didn't care for the app and couldn't find a equalizer setting that really made me happy, but that's a minor nitpick. The head band and ear cups are comfortable; however, moving around and laying on the couch while listening, these wouldn't stay in place on my head. Surely that won't be an issue for everyone.
