The ones I returned were not loud enough. The Sonys are loud enough however, the problem with the Sonys are “Connecting” them they don’t always work the first time - this needs to be fixed. I bought them because my Sony TVs are superior to others I’ve had.

Not for small heads

It slides off when I bow my head down. And when wearing it for a long time, it kinda hurts the top of my head where it touches the headband, even though it's padded. Other than those, I don't have any complain.

The WH-1000XM5 are beautifully finished in newly developed soft fit leather. This material fits snugly around the head with less pressure on the ears while keeping out external sounds. You may try adjusting the headband slider so that they cover your ears and have more personalized comfort. You may also find the following article helpful:

It can cancel people talking right behind you. The quality of sound is amazing and also includes the cable to connect them when you don't have battery. Normally I used them 2 days without charge them. it is important ajust them well in your head and ears to help the noise cancelling

I have been contemplating buying these for a while and was waiting for a sale to purchase it. I got tired of using my airpods and they would pop out of my ears quite often. The active feature continually adjusts the environment and dials in the cancelling. My ears are in heaven. Use on the airplane, and it's 30hr battery make international travel so comfortable. My last set of Sony NC headphones lasted over 10 years and are still going. DONT THINK ABOUT IT...BUY THESE oh...the sound AMAZING. Also, if the battery ever dies...they STILL WORK as wired headphone.

The noise cancellation on them is absolutely superb! Sound quality is phenomenal, ease of use and functionality off the charts. It is susceptible to smudges if you have kind of oily hands. The battery life on these headphones are the best I've ever encountered!

A bit pricey but I know that I'll run these into the ground before I replace them. The ANC doesn't seem to be as strong but it isn't very off putting. The app is pretty convenient and the music is just as crisp and clear as it always is with Sony. Too bad these aren't really meant to workout in so I'll have to go ahead and buy some earbuds. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

Perfect Over Ear

I have compared these against the Bose and in terms of sounds they are way better and almost as good at noise cancellation. The comfort is great for long plane rides. I use them on average twice a month on the plane and love them. Only downside is their app is not the greatest but you don’t need to use after you set them up.

These Completely Spoiled Me

I no longer want to listen to music in my car or with other headphones. That's because the sound quality of these is just that good. I feel immersed in the music like I'm in the studio with the artists. The music has much more depth and nuance to it, and I can hear parts of songs that I would have never noticed with cheaper headphones. I really like the software and how easy they make it to customize the audio to your preferences (bass, treble, etc) - even a complete newbie can use it. The one concern I had before buying these was the pressure you feel in your ears from active noise canceling. I felt that a lot when trying on Bose QuietComfort headphones, but that's never been an issue with these. And unlike Bose QC and other headphones, you can also turn off the active noise canceling if it bothers you. TL;DR I can't recommend these headphones enough. If you're on the fence, just send it.

When they work there great

At this point ive had the 4s and they dont work after 2 weekz and got these and they cut out when im ten feet away, we just been having all sorts of issues with wofi and other things.
