Not a trustworthy warranty

The headphones began to power of on their own. After updates and any additional attempts from SONY, they sent me a new pair. After about 90 days again, the headphones began powering off on their own. After the same problem again, SONY’S resolution was to send me another pair at a discounted price of $200. So, I’ve had 2 faulty devices with the same problem and now SONY acts like they are helping me out by expecting me to pay $600 for a pair of headphones. Their customer service is horrible with no one in a leadership role to help

This is certainly not the experience we want for our customers and we're sorry for the inconvenience.
To address the Bluetooth connectivity issue, we recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:
-On your smartphone or computer, go into the Bluetooth settings and "forget" or "unpair" the WH-1000XM5. Then, restart your device and try the pairing process from the beginning.
-Initialize the headphones. You can find the instructions here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm5/v1/en/contents/TP1000541013.html
-Ensure your headphones are running on the latest firmware. You can check for and install updates using the Sony | Sound Connect app.
Regarding the difficulty in telling whether the device is on or off, the headphones have an LED indicator. When you turn on the headphones, the indicator will flash blue.
