    Comfort level is phenomenal, Bass and Sound are very good. Connection to apple products isnt always smooth however these headphones in my opinion are the best on the market.

    Do not purchase XM5 - Massive Design Flaw

    Massive design flaw, just with a normal use for 3 months of use, right hinge on the headphones was broken, when reached out to Sony, they do not cover it under warranty and the repair cost is almost the same price of the headset $300. I have XM4 for over couple of years and they work absolutely fine. These new ones are bad and sony customer service is even more bad.

    Right speaker gave up after a couple months, also the paint started peeling off within 2 months

    High expectations but ultimately disappointing

    Sounds great. Noise canceling excellent. Main problem (two different units tried) was that it was unable to maintain Bluetooth connection. Finally went back to Bose (700) and have had zero problems with sound and noise canceling exemplary.

    Great headphones. Very comfortable. Best noise cancellation in the market in the market. Highly recommend over the Apple AirPod max which I think are over priced.

      It is true that when the headset is connected to an AC outlet or computer, all operations such as turning on the headset, registering or connecting to Bluetooth devices, and music playback cannot be performed. The WHXM5 works well with Mac, Windows 10, and Windows 8.1 computers.

    I liked the noise canceling feature although when I’m getting a call it sounds like in far away. I tried to use this for team meetings with an application for calls. I was told i sound far asay. I checked the settings and jg was all correct with the audio and sound and mic all from headset and did not work. Have to use an ecternal mic. I was hoping i can hse while traveking without carrying external mic to work. Also for travel its bulky to travel unless they are around your neck in the airport

    Product is poorly made. Plastic on swivel arm broke in less than 2 months and the Sony warranty does not cover the repair.

    noise cancelling doesn't work well, even with the sony suggestions. Sound quality is okay. Material for ear pads are comfortable but are poor quality. Definitely not worth $400+.

    Like all of the one star reviews, the hinges on this thing broke. These headphones are so expensive and yet, no quality control whatsoever and no way to replace due to their awful warranty. Stay far away from these.

      Unfortunately, broken hinges on the WH-1000XM5 headphones are classified as physical damage and, as such, are not covered under warranty.     Does not connect seamlessly to WIndows 11 pc

    Terrible.. One of the worst experiences. I bought it for the microphones and ANC and multiple features.. but ..a total waste of my time and just ludicrous support services by SONY. They did not resolve the issues but kept giving me multiple links to WINDOWS 10 and etc.. but this Sony has issues with connecting to Windows PC. Later while using it with my iPhone 13, it connects and then disconnects while the calls are going on.. Really nightmare. Terrible experience.

    Not as great as you would think

    I know these headphones are touted as superb. They probably are for most people. But for me, I wanted ones that sound incredible. These don't sound incredible. The bass is muddy and there is not as much detail as I would like, as in the Sennheiser Momentum 3 and 4. All the other functions such as ANC, transparency, controls, comfort are great. If you are not very discerning or picky about audio quality, then go ahead and get these. But why would you pay this much if you don't care about audio quality? Get the Momentum 4 would be my recommendation.
