Better than what she had on her Xmas list

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these headphones last year in December for my daughter, and I wanted to get some thing that was not gonna be tiny and that she was going to lose in a month! so I decided to go for these not only because of the beautiful neutral color but because I had read the reviews. Eight months in, always lets me know how she really loves the headphones and how she really enjoys them and enjoys all the different sound settings. So happy with this purchase. And as she mentions she’s happy I bought them for her instead of the items she had on her Christmas list. She’s 16 years old 15 at the time of purchase.

Great headphones

A little pricey, but they are ultimately the best on the market so you’re paying to have the best headset. I use and abuse them a lot and they’re in good condition.

Sony Headphones GARGBAGE!

I will never buy anything from the Jacksonville NC Best Buy store. I purchased the WH-1000XM5 headphones on the 25th of Jan 2026 to replace the WH-1000XM4 headphones that the slider adjuster headband broke after a couple of years. The XM5's broke slider adjuster broke after 3 months. SONY's products are garbage, customer support at SONY and Best Buy are also a Joke. The good old days of a company standing behind their product for a year of parts & labor is nonexistent. Now you have to pay for all these extra warranties and be members of this and that to get what should be a given automatically. Sony is no longer reputable, and Best Buy I figure will go the way of Bed Bath and Beyond. I will continue to purchase from Amazon. Sony wants me to send these off to somewhere and pay them $100 to try and fix. Ok let's see, paid 300 for them and now they want to charge me to ship them and pay another $100. So, I now have invested $400 into a garbage cheap plastic product. NEVER AGAIN!

The noise cancelling is amazing, however i would not recommend these to somebody looking for the best sound quality. They do not sound bad, but for 400 dollars i did expect them to sound better

Noiser cancelation is very good and phone calls are absolutely unparalleled. They aren't as comfortable as bose and occasionally the songs seem to change themselves.

Not what i expected from a pair of $300 headphones

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These headphones when i first got them were great but in further use they take time getting used to if your someone that want to sing along to songs while listening these aren’t for you. but my biggest issue is a year of having the plastic that connects the band and muffs broke…and it’s a 300 pair headphone so with buying these get the warranty and don’t wear these like beats it’s more for a work setting but honestly not worth the $300 their other alternatives.

Regarding your experience with singing along to your music: it sounds like the Speak-to-Chat feature may be active. This is designed to pause audio when you speak, but it can be easily disabled in the Sony Sound Connect app so you can sing along uninterrupted.

TONS OF CONNECTIVITY ISSUES

While the sound quality and comfort are pristine, there are connectivity issues almost every time I use. It randomly disconnects, beeps, pauses my music, skips a track, does everything I don’t want it to do. Turning off gesture controls sometimes makes it better, but I did not shell out 400 bucks to compromise on basic comfort.
