Good improvement in the way to handle the ambiance isolation and the total silence mode, it is very intutive and I noticed less isolation in the older version I feel disconnected from the sorroundings.Like always unparalleled sound quality. The noise cancellation could be a tad bit better but it does the job by dialing the airplane noise way down. Would most defiantly recommend these to friends and family.

Long story short the build quality isn't as good but the sound and noise cancelation is beter than ever. Overall I definitely recommend.

If you have an iPhone you will want these

These little cushions of audio goodness were so great my teenage son "borrowed" them and has refused to return them. I also purchased the WH-1000XM4 and these are still a step up. Cons: the headband feels cheap since it is thinner than the previous plastic bands BUT since these lack that wayyy to easy to break plastic piece on previous versions, I'd say it is worth it and a design change that was overdue. If you have an iPhone, the features beat the comparable Bose headphones. If you have an Android, you might actually prefer the Bose. Either way, you can't go wrong
