Just Not It

Aesthetically less pleasing than last generation (opinion), no clear improvement in sound eq, noise cancellation doesn’t seem any better than cheaper headphones, AND there’s the subscription for using a feature on them??? My biggest complaint would the comfort on the ear cups. The material gets very warm and eventually sweaty if you use them an extended period of time. Overall, I think you can buy better at a similar price point.

Our WH-1000XM5 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience. Note: If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect. The WH-1000XM5 headphones have a built-in equalizer on the Sony Headphones Connect app which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. The app that does not always work when it does connect. Want your calls randomly cutoff? Buy! Want music to play randomly even when you have the setting on to pause when headphones are removed? Buy! Want to have to reset the volume every time you take a call or listen to music? Buy!!

Broken Headband within a few months

It ended up breaking and when I contacted customer service they said it was "cosmetic damage" and they could not fix it. So I ended up buying a new pair and they just broke. I swear to you I did not do anything unusual. I did not sleep with them. I always used the case. I legit had them on and I myself fell. (the headphones did not) and the hinge part just broke off. I paid over 300 dollars for this to say I am disappointed would be an understatement.
