Cheaply Made and Broke Fast - Do not Buy

Randomly broke on this super cheap and thin plastic piece that connects one ear to the band when I was laying down, didn't even drop them or anything. Do not recommend to purchase unless you buy the warranty. For such expensive headphones you'd think the hinges would be made of metal. I would not recommend to buy them when they're so expensive. Best buy could not do anything to help.

Sony doesn't honor the warranty

Sony refuses to cover them under warranty because it "Doesn't cover Physical, Cosmetic, or Water Damage". Even if the physical damage is a design defect.

I did like the weight of these better but the clamping force was a bit too much and after about 3 hours of wear they hurt the top of my head, the heavier air pods max actually hurt the top of my head less but also had too much clamping force. These are much lighter but do not sound as good as AirPods Max.

For sound quality related issues or concerns, please try these following steps:
Turn down the volume of the connected device if it is too loud.
When playing music, if the headset and the transmitting Bluetooth device are connected via an HFP or HSP Bluetooth connection, switch the Bluetooth connection to A2DP with the connected device.
Some devices that emit ultrasonic sound waves designed to repel rodents may occasionally be installed at the entrances of commercial facilities or subway stations. Near such devices, the ultrasonic sound waves may cause noise or unusual sound to be heard from the headset. Leave the place where the noise or unusual sound is heard. Or turn off the noise canceling function/Ambient Sound Mode from the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

Downgrade from previous models

The design isn't as nice as the 3's but that's whatever. They are way less comfortable however, and feel like they are crushing my head. The headband is also a lot more narrow and less cushioned. The sound is similar but requires EQing unlike the 3's, plus the bass is alot less noticeable. Will be returning them and getting the xm4's instead.

Our WH-1000XM5 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience.

Also, if you feel like you are missing some bass or your music missing a bit of oomph, the Sony Headphones Connect app packs numerous audio presets curated by sound experts.
