Noise cancelling is amazing but design has flaws

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do like these headphones kind of… typically I was wearing air pod pros daily until their latest update where the noise cancellation was emphasizing the wrong sounds cause my overstimulation to get worse. I wear headphones to reduce the sound around me or help me focus on familiar things. I decided to switch to Sony over ear because they had great reviews for noise cancelling and phone calls. Both these features are great and I love that you can personal the sound (ie I can’t handle bass or lower tones and I can customize to balance those). The meh: the fit is weird sometimes it feels like it is squishing my head but when I love they fall off. Very annoying for being active or doing things like cleaning. Connectivity is hit and miss and needs improvement. They connect ok to my phone but if I want to use them I have to have the app in order to get them to connect to another device and when you get a call or alarm it does not play through the head phones just stops the sound. This is very frustrating then when you finally find your phone and click answer you have to go in and change the settings to connect to headset for a call. While I like them because they do help when I need noise canceling i do find them buggy.

I used to travel with my airpod pro's, but they would die so quickly. These literally last forever, they are super comfortable, and they block out a ton of sound. I highly recommend these.

The Noise cancelling is a nice feature, though you could still slightly hear sounds when playing music when around really loud construction & commuting in train tunnels. The Bass is neat, well matched with song & not overwhelming, The headphones are very comftable to wear. I highly recommend these headphones. Im actually about to get the ear buds next.

I remember when these first came out and most reviewers were dinging them for not being collapsible. Which always struck me as odd because: why not just wear earbuds if you're concerned about space?

Perfect Headphones on the mid-high end!

TURN OFF SPEAK TO CHAT (swipe forward on the right cup twice and the place two finger down for a sec or two and it will tell you it's off).

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the XM4 and thought this would an upgrade and it was as far as the noise canceling and software, but for the overall fit and also the portability this is where they differ. I tried this in the gym and they would not stay on my head and after a week i realized theses may not be for the gym like the XM4's were. I had them on plane rides and they worked wonders as far as the noise canceling is concerned i could not hear anything for the most part. I had a window seat and i leaned onto the window and they moved which caused me to adjust and due to the flight distance i had to find a position that would work, so the headphones would stay were they were to provide me the peace and quiet that i was looking for. The battery life was terrific as i never had an issue with especially get notified that you need to charge them. Also not folding to be more compact was an issues as well. Overall they are good headphones but with minor things i did not care for. PROS: -software amazing -noise canceling top notch -battery life -very stylish CONS: -not a secure on my head as the X4 -kept sliding off my head when i would transition exercises -not a compact as previous version

The noise cancelling is also more superior than the previous one. I had a super noisy neighbor (super annoying) that plays heavy beats overnight and this headphone certainly helps.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you can decide whether to buy between this version and the previous version for a little more money, in my personal opinion you should buy these XM5 headphones because the sound quality of the voices is cleaner and although the bass is more balanced, the previous version is stronger, the noise cancellation could be the best but I'm not sure if you like to listen to music for long periods of time, although these are a little heavy, they didn't bother me at all.

These earphones are lighter and much more comfortable than my previous earphones. The sound quality has improved as well but it is hard to beat any Sony headphone when it comes to true sound quality.

I love these headphones. I've gone through a few looking for the right thing, these are it. Sound quality is great and perfect with some EQ work. Transparency mode is surprising quite good. Not airpods good, but still good. I can easyily carry on a conversation while using transparency. They look amazing, especially in white. But of a pale cream white with a slight tint of tan. Looks good. It works on wired mode as well. Noise cancelling is really good and has different modes you can tinker with on the app. It has some features I don't use, like auto transparency when I talk but it's still nice to have sometimes. Battery lasts forever as well. I go days without charging them. Highly highly recommend these if you can afford them as they are a bit pricey.

The app is super easy to use, and is very customizable to your own personal fit. One thing thats weird is the headphones swivel outwards rather than inwards, meaning the inside of the headphones are exposed when around neck. Thats one thing thats odd, also the case, the flat part is actually the top. Which is funny because you would think that the flat size is the bottom (where it would rest). Just everything feels backwards when it comes to the case and how the headphones swivel. Other than that, everything is great, i love the colors too.
