Hello, I have returned and it is time for me to give my review of the wh1000xm5 in the blue color that I bought at my local Best Buy that looks awesome. After they remodeled it the Woodland Hills One to begin with if you're looking for a set of over their ear headphones that will clear out any noise and make it as quiet as possible. Then you're in the right place. Not only are these headphones very very comfortable with their vegan leather material, but they fit on the head like a glove they offer the same battery life as the previous model at 30 hours. But you want the best and noise canceling and comfort you're in the right place the Sony headphones here or everything you need the app offers you a lot of ways to customize your sound profile and everything. You need go ahead and buy them while you can now that today is the last day of the Black Friday deals at 329 with a $70 discount. What more could you want buy them? I recommend them they are truly amazing.

I have the older version i.e. M4 and thoroughly enjoyed it until it lost it in a travel. M5 has outstanding the audio quality and noise cancellation. The device feels light and soft on ears. Also the controls are easy to use. clear tunes and good bass. I would definitely recommend it. Only con is, its over priced. I would have waited for sale given holidays are just around the corner. :-)

I spent ages trying to find quality headphones that were worth committing to for me. These headphones are comfortable, lightweight, have great sound, and the noise cancellation is incredible. The battery life is a dream too—I’m a college student and I use these for hours every day. The app for these headphones is also super user-friendly and offers cool features. 11/10!

The sound is great for pair of bluetooth headphones! Of course you have to tweek the EQ settings for best results in the Sony Connect app! I love the touch controls, so much easier than finding the buttons on other headphones. There are some buttons on the xm5, a power and a noise cancelling/ ambient button. It has great call quality. The battery last a long time. I get exactly what they said, about 30 hours of battery life. They fit nicely and are comfortable. I do think durability might be an issue if you dont keep good care of them. They do NOT fold up! The headphones come with a case and wire and charging cable. These really do sound better than the xm4s which i also have and the Noise cancelling is better as well. I also want to say, if you listen through the wire it might sound terrible unless you power them on while you listen. You can still use noise cancelling and the battery will last longer if you do it that way instead of normal bluetooth usage!

I’ve enjoyed multiple earlier versions of Sony’s XM series noise-canceling headphones (XM2, XM3, XM4). What originally drew me to them was the excellent noise-canceling performance, especially considering the price point compared to Bose’s airplane-focused models at the time, which were significantly more expensive. Comfort was another big plus. The headband felt good, and I’ve never liked in-ear solutions. The XM5 series is largely the same experience overall. One of my earlier concerns was headband strength, which I believe has been addressed in newer versions. My main issue now is that, in certain situations, speech clarity seems to suffer. I sometimes feel the older models handled voices better. That said, it’s possible my current unit is slightly defective and may need an RMA. Overall, these headsets are excellent when it comes to noise canceling, period. If you can find the XM4 or XM5 at a discount, you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure to register them for the warranty and keep the firmware up to date. One piece of advice: fully charge the headphones before use, and if you’re doing a firmware update, be prepared and patient.

Great over ear headphones! Sound quality is excellent especially for someone who listens to heavier music. Also very comfortable compared to other headphones I’ve tried. Highly recommend for casual use or heavy listening!

After investing in the XM4's, i saw this model and all of its improvements. Sturdy build, comfortable ear cups, and long battery life with great sound. My only cripe would be that it doesnt fold, so the case is a bit big, but well worth the sacrifice

I had the XM4 and thought this would an upgrade and it was as far as the noise canceling and software, but for the overall fit and also the portability this is where they differ. I tried this in the gym and they would not stay on my head and after a week i realized theses may not be for the gym like the XM4's were. I had them on plane rides and they worked wonders as far as the noise canceling is concerned i could not hear anything for the most part. I had a window seat and i leaned onto the window and they moved which caused me to adjust and due to the flight distance i had to find a position that would work, so the headphones would stay were they were to provide me the peace and quiet that i was looking for. The battery life was terrific as i never had an issue with especially get notified that you need to charge them. Also not folding to be more compact was an issues as well. Overall they are good headphones but with minor things i did not care for. PROS: -software amazing -noise canceling top notch -battery life -very stylish CONS: -not a secure on my head as the X4 -kept sliding off my head when i would transition exercises -not a compact as previous version

The best headphones ever. My husband travels a lot and these are his favorite for airplanes. The noise cancelling is amazing, sound is awesome, Bluetooth connectivity is slick and no issue. Comfortable for the long haul. I’ve bought them as gifts for 3 people.

These are the best headphones for the price on the market. Noice canceling is superb, while still keeping the weight down and remaining comfortable. I use them at the gym and they don’t fall off. The battery last a very long time. Sound quality is the best I’ve ever heard.

I’ve been using the Sony WH-1000XM5s for a bit now and I seriously love them. The sound is super clean, the bass feels really good, and the noise canceling is actually insane. They’re crazy comfortable too, so I can wear them for hours without even thinking about it. Plus the battery lasts forever and they switch between my devices without me doing anything. Honestly, they just make everything I listen to sound better. I’m really glad I got them.

I was looking for great noise canceling headphones and at first bought Beats. However, I got bad ones and they didn't work. But I realized I didn't like the way they felt on my head and researched more. I found these and I really like them. They are very comfortable. They help me considerate when working. They last VERY long! Probably the longest out there. I love watching movies in my bedroom with them on. They come with an app where you can adjust things the way you like them. I had to figure out how to stop them from cutting off when I was singing because it thought I was talking to someone lol also I like how you can have it connect to multiple devices at once. So I can switch between my imac and iphone when I need to. Calls are great on them. They don't always switch over but everyone can hear me clearly and the calls are clear. I highly recommend. My only suggestion is MAKE SOME PINK ONES! hahaha no seriously, get them you wont be disappointed.

Phenomenal!! Wow! Feels like a stereo system, download the app if you purchase this. Its a quick download, fine tune the sound then never touch the app again. I bring these to the gym I jog with these, jump road I punch punching bags. If theres an upgraded version of this headphone set i am going to purchase. Sony does everything so much better than Samsung and apple. My 1 complaint is I sing, or yell with these on at the gym so the headohones auto pause to listen to my surrounding. I'm sure I can tweak the app to get rid of that but the voice commands work extremely well its easy to talk to others too. I do blast my music but i make sure i don't risk hearing damage. If you blast headphones, no longer than 15 minute's for your ears, if you listen at a balanced level then you'll go for hours. Do not let moistures or sweat/ rain touch these headphones theyre Exspensive and Great quality. Better gym headphone are bone conduction headphones that wrap around your neck a little

Had for a year and a half now. I do use them bass heavy but have a slight ting in the left driver. Warranty is out, and at the price of repair I will not be doing that. I take the best possible care of these considering it is the most expensive headphone I have ever purchased. Kind of disappointed on the fact considering the price of these. They are my favorite headphones though, I’ve tried many Bose and others. These have a warm sound and can have heavy bass when using the EQ settings. The ability for the NC to adjust based on your actions is fantastic, multipoint is great. They are a little big on me, I use the fully enclosed and they hurt the top of my head after a while. Also could clamp a little harder but this is different for everyone’s head. These are the best you can buy in this range but with a one year warranty I will not be buying more.

Best headphones I have owned so far. Have used Bose previous to these. Comparable, but the quality on the sound is notably better with these when listening closely. The battery life is also exceptional; I rarely have to think of charging it, & when I do it charges rapidly! The case is built well although slightly large considering the over ear style. Would recommend

I did a lot of research before purchasing these headphones. I had it down to these, and Skull Candy Crusher Evo. I wanted clear, crisp sound with a good bass response, Noise cancelling was also important. Both headphones had excellent reviews, but I decided on the Sony simply because I’m familiar with the brand, and I’ve never been disappointed. This headset checked all the boxes. With the app’s equalizer, I was able to set the bass as heavy as I wanted…and it sounds amazing. By the way, the app is super easy to navigate. The noise cancelling function is primo. They’re light, and there is no discomfort wearing them for extended periods. Battery life is great. Pairing was simple. Packaging was impressive with a very nice storage case. In my opinion, there are no cons. I really love these headphones, and feel they’re absolutely worth what I paid. Sony has put out an excellent product, and I would definitely recommend these phones to anyone.

I've had the XM3, and I've had the XM4, and these by far outshine every single one of them. I actually sold my Bose headphones, which were my second backup versions for traveling, in order to get these, and don't regret it a bit. These completely are the most comfortable and lightweight headphones I've had, I wore them for 6 to 8 hours while traveling in planes, with phenomenal battery life, fantastic sound, and completely solid connectability. The app allows you to seamlessly connect to either two devices, which unfortunately makes you lose LDAC, but otherwise works perfectly. If this is important to you. The noise canceling is absolutely out of this world, you are truly in a world of your own. Are they expensive? Yes, but they are without a doubt the best noise canceling headphones you can buy. I've tried multiple different versions, from Bose, and Sony, these are by far the best ones I've ever had, and definitely will be sticking with them
