This is such an immersive experience. You connect so much better with music . I feel like these are a tool for me to sharpen my skills and also have a deeper appreciation of music. Should have gotten these sooner. They are well worth the money

I have sensory issues, enough that when my XM3's broke I needed to buy new ones the next day. Pros: It is great noise canceling. Both top and bottom frequencies at the extreme end are slightly better canceling than the Bose QuietComfort, which is exactly what I am looking for. However, the Bose was better at noise canceling all other frequencies. Cons: The build quality absolutely sucks. They are $30 build quality with a $400 price tag. It feels cheap, looks slightly better, and the foam is so bad. When I bend over (to pick up a ball and play fetch with the dog) some sensor wigs out and the sound changes and the noise cancelling is affected. I am absolutely getting more sound passthrough than previous iterations, and their build quality was better. The case is massive, and insane that someone thought that's how I want to travel. It's the size of my grandmother's purse. I'm not an audiophile, I just am sensitive to extreme frequencies. But the sound is good... but not at this price point! For $400 I should be able to hear God answer my prayers, instead I'm hearing just good tunes? It sounds like a $60 pair of headphones. Again, the Bose QuietComfort were superior. They had better sound, the soundstage felt larger, and the sounds were absolute finesse. And did I mention they were $100 cheaper? In sum: If you do not desperately need the edge of human hearing to be silenced then you SHOULD NOT buy these. $400 is a bonkers price for something that feels like tomorrow's noise canceling put into yesteryear's design choices. Ridiculous.

TV shows like Breaking Bad feel way more immersive. ANC is acceptable, only complaint with it is that I wish it would do a better job cancelling out higher pitched noises. Overall, these headphones are great and I have had no problems with them so far. 9/10- one point taken off for ANC quality.

The sound quality is great, even when listening to lower quality audio. Super easy to use right out of the box. No problem connecting these to her phone at all. The noise canceling feature is also high quality and we cannot hear anything outside the headphones when using it.

Not what yoU would get with wired headphones at the same price level but for Bluetooth headphones they are excellent. I did compare them against apple max and overall preference the sound of Sony, plus Sony you can customize easily (at least on mobile’s devices). There are a number of minuses all linked to software implementation : if you connect to 2 devices simultaneously you significantly cut the range of the connection and that silly speak-to-chat feature keeps enabling itself no matter how many times you turn it off. Apple max definitely switches from device to device much easier at least in apple ecosystem.

It takes a little tinkering in the app to get the perfect EQ settings but otherwise these are amazing. I think I spend more time with them on than with them off during my waking hours

Headband too hard again

The reason i returned them is because of the headband. Its too hard and gives me a headache after only 30 minutes. I do not know why they don't add softer padding on top like they did on the XM2 and XM3 anymore. If the headband doesn't bother you, I can recommend these on sale or refurbished and save the money

I had been wanting a pair of overhead headphones that would cover my ears (to not disturb piercings). Really love the battery life on them plus they charge super quickly. Would recommend, I've never really tried noice canceling headphones before so I'm not sure if they are a "good deal" but I love my pair.
