Amazing sound and ANC

I wish they had water resistance so that I didn't have to baby them so much but the audio quality is worth it. These aren't gym headphones, they're concentrate on listening to your music headphones.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my doubts about these headphones, I Couldn't try them because they were not on display in the store, and still, they are not, because I often go to your store just because I like so much electronics in general. So I decided to exchange my brand new xm4 in order to try the XM5, I had read on Sony that these were the latest from Sony even though the XM4 had not been all that long on the market, and Sony was saying that the XM5 are the top of the line. So when I tried them they were effectively better than my XM4 and I kept them. About 15 days after having my XM5 I noticed that randomly they turned off while I was using them, It happened 3 times so I went back to the store and have them exchange for another XM5, and so far so good. The quality of sound is really crispy on the XM5 even better than on the XM4 which is hard to believe until you tried them.

In the default setting, the headphones use built-in sensors to detect when you wear or remove them and automatically turn the headphones on or off as needed. If you have trouble with the headphones turning off unintentionally, check the following:
When you wear the headphones over a cap, a scarf, or hair, etc., the sensors may not be able to detect that you are wearing them and may turn them off. To avoid this, be sure to set the earpads directly over the ears.
If the wearing detection still bothers you, disable the Automatic Power Off setting. You can do this using the Sony | Headphones Connect app: System → Automatic Power Off, and select Do not turn off.
If the issue is not still resolved, reset the headphones. If the issue still persists, then initialize the headphones. Note: Resetting the headphones will not delete the paring information, while initialization returns the headphones to the factory settings and all Bluetooth pairing information is deleted.

Amazing headphones for studying and keeping focus

I needed some to help me when I am studying, I can’t focus with to many sounds around me but I also can’t focus with music to loud. Even so while play lofi study music and having the noise cancellation on it did wonders. I couldn’t Hear anything and if I did it was so muffled that it wouldn’t distract me. I also love love the feature where you can put your hand on the headphones and it’ll let you listen to your surroundings. Many would say it’s annoying that they can’t hear the person talking to them to clearly or their surroundings but, let’s be real. These headphones are probably only for work use like studying or working and not really for everyday use like normal headphones. These are definitely meant to make your world quiet and muffled.

Excellent gift for my 71yr old mother.

The noise cancelling is better than anything else available on the market and the comfort is above and beyond as well. They are quite expensive but these are the best ones on the market that I could find and try prior to purchasing.

I purchased them thinking I could use them at the gym, but they’re prone to getting damaged, but they are really good headphones nonetheless!

The noise-cancelling worked great and I really like the simple functions on the right ear. Wore these for several hours and did not experience any discomfort. Battery life is great. They cancel out noise and are very loud. Battery last a long time. The only issue I had was connecting it to different devices, I had to download the Sony app.

The M5s sounds fantastic, great nose cancellation, the design is an overall improvement over the previous generation. The new carry case is also sleeker. One thing i miss about M4 is the NFC quick connect, M5 didn't have a nfc tap to connect.

This issue can sometimes be caused by the Bluetooth signal quality, especially when the headphones are set to prioritize audio quality over a stable connection, so we recommend opening the Sony | Headphones Connect app and changing the setting to "Priority on Stable Connection" in the Sound tab. If the issue persists, please try restarting your playback device (phone/laptop) or performing a simple reset of the headphones (instructions are in the help guide) to clear any temporary glitches.
