The sound quality is crisp and makes listening to music an experience. Compared to my other headphones these blew them out the park enabling my ears to hear instruments or noises I haven’t heard in songs I listen to on a daily.

And that’s coming from someone who has the 3rd gen of them (they got old) Apple AirPods Pro Max (too heavy!) and short-term tried 2 Soundcore models (NC isn’t strong enough, and a little uncomfortable) Sony’s WH1000XM5 can’t be beat. They’re well designed, comfortable, sturdy, and the noise canceling is out of this world! Purchased two at Best Buy with my Total Tech membership for that 2 year coverage, that’s a match made in heaven! My spouse and I love them!

Great Noise-Cancelling Headphones

I am very happy with Sony WH1000XM5 headphones. They met my expectations, and I have the added bonus of being able to listen to music while mowing without having to turn the volume way up. They are also great on Microsoft Teams calls and regular iPhone calls. Quality is great. I am very happy with them. And my granddaughter like them too.

The noise cancelation is really good. Love bringing these as my travel headphones for flights. Just be sure to learn the touch controls or ypull change the settings without know it.

I love the accompanying app which allows me to customize the sound equalizer and other features. These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned; I wear them when I study, clean, and craft. Amazing noise canceling ability with very user-friendly ability to temporarily disable it either manually or by voice. Easily one of the best tech purchases I’ve ever made.

Also because the XM5 does have some cool features such as the ambience mode, especially the noise-cancelling mode so you can hear your inner demo- I mean, your music. The feel and quality of the headphones is quite sturdy and soft, specifically the thing or part that goes around the ears, it doesnt feel squished or weighted down as much compared to other headphones. The Built-In Microphones in Both the Earpiece is an Innovative Masterpiece. One Example is, I owned a Pair of XM2 (of the multiple I've owned) for a period of 3Yrs& 2Months. and worked as good ax the Day I bought them. I'm Wheelchair Bound with a Back Pack affixed to the Back of the 'Chair'. Had it Not been for them being STOLEN out of the Back Pack while I was on a Community Transit Bus I WOULD Still have Them. I had taken them off & put in Bk Pk for just a minute due to mechanical Wheel Chair Problem. When after getting off the BUS & Trying to get them, They WERE GONE. The Pleasantries and Functionality Abound in This Excellent Display of Space Age Technology. SO, This is a testimony to the Days and Hours along with the Miles I put in Testing and Trying Out THE TOP BRANDS and Comparing Them. I own both and the MX5 has far greater noise cancellation with the same tone quality as MX4. More ear cup space makes these retain less heat and therefore more comfortable. If youre flying as much as me, the noise cancellation is scary good on a plane (no crying babies). I highly recommend these headphones and the Sony app offers very adaptive tuning.

I love the sound and fit especially. Simply stunning. I use a streaming music service that includes the 360 suround audio which is a nice plus. The app is as easy to pair and use as anything else, and these head phones are now my daily drivers. Definately worth the price for admission.
