Overall very comfortable and well built but lack in sound quality on iPhone.

I purchased these to wear on a flight and the turbulence on the plain was so minimal that all I could hear was my music playing in the background. I was impressed. More natural true to life sounding instruments than the AirPods Max - no comparison in that regard. Cello, violin, piano, harp, brass all sound detailed, nuanced and realistic like you could reach out and touch the instrument. Only grievance I have is that the inner ear cups are a bit shallow so even my small ears touch the inner surface.

However, the zipper on the case broke within the first few hours of use. The case is now unusable which is a shame because it is a nice looking case. I contacted Sony for a replacement and they said it was a known issue but still could not send a replacement. Great headphones, know you will most likely need to get a third party case.

They can run warm, but the quality is worth it. They do shut off if you take the headphones off and lay them down so you need to have a stand to hang them on or be prepared to scramble to put them on your head and engage the "on" button on if someone calls, all at once.

Remarkable ANC - cleaner sound profile.

Some people may prefer the sound of the 4th gen more but I believe the 5th gen has a cleaner sound and is more accurate in audio presentation. ANC is amazing much better than the 4th gen (which I also have and is impressive as well).

Doesn't block everything out but I don't think that technology exists yet. Using the noise canceling while listening to music makes me feel like I'm in a soundproof room within the office.
