I use it with my laptop for office work and connecting the blue tooth every time i put my headphone done, it takes me a while to connect it again. Apart from that, it is a good product.

Regarding that Bluetooth delay, we definitely want to make your workday smoother! A great way to fix this is by using the "Multi-point Connection" feature in the Sony | Headphones Connect app. This allows your headphones to stay paired to both your phone and your laptop at the same time, so you won't have to manually reconnect every time you put them back on.
Also, checking that your Windows "Swift Pair" setting is toggled On can make that initial handshake almost instant!

Very easy to connect to Samsung Galaxy phone - stays connected and doesn't have issues with other Bluetooth devices (i.e., Galaxy Watch). The noise cancelling is very good - can barely hear anything on an airplane when it is enabled. The battery life is also excellent. I think it is around 30 hours on a full charge. The included carrying case is also pretty nice and is protective enough. The only thing to be aware of is that the active noise cancelling feature does have that pressurized feeling. It isn't as bad as some other devices I've used (i.e., in-ear Galaxy Pods/AirPods, etc.), but it does give me a bit of a headache if I use it for more than a few hours at once - thankfully, its easy to turn off, and the headphones are pretty sound cancelling even without it on.

I’m suprised at how much you can still hear with them on, but they do feel a lot better than wearing AirPods. I don’t think they’re worth over $300 but if you catch a sale, they seem as good as others on the market. I liked that they were light, the Apple ones seemed so heavy.

Out of the box, the headphones sound kind of shallow and require a bit of EQ adjustment through the app, but they sound fantastic once tuned to my liking. The headphones are comfortable with glasses, and I don't feel that my ears get hot as they do with headphones like the Max’s (Which I've returned to before). Although they don't support spatial audio and head tracking, They do support Dolby atmos in iTunes, which is nice. The quality when connecting them to my MacBook via aux is fantastic and worth purchasing a dongle to use with a phone. They have a passthrough mode similar to the AirPods max, but it is actually customizable through the application. ANC is similarly adjustable. Sound isolation is poor at high volumes, as expected. Still, I was more than satisfied with the volume at which I could have them without bothering others around me or impacting my listening session, especially with the noise cancellation.

My favorite part though is the touch controls. The right earpiece is an invisible touch pad. So searching around for buttons is not required like with most other headphones. Just use swipe or double tap commands to control volume, pause, skip tracks, etc. Also when you cover the right earpiece with your hand, it disables noise cancelling and lowers the volume on your content so you can easily hear plane announcements, or have a conversation with another passenger or the flight attendant, Taking off the headphones will pause your content, and it starts right back up when you put the headphones back on.

For calls, the mic is terrible. It isn't just "not awesome," it is nonfunctional if I'm in a coffee house, taking a gentle stroll outdoors, or anywhere else that the smallest sounds might be picked up by the mic. For all the AI tech is boasts, it isn't too smart in distinguishing my voice from the ambient noise around me. If you intend to use the XM5 for listening, it is a solid investment. If you intend to use the XM5 for calls, don't waste your money. My primary *intended* use was business calls. That is why I cannot recommend the XM5. I *do* recommend it for music and audiobooks.

Prior to owning the Wh-1000xm5's, I had the Wh-1000xm4's. After having the 5's for some time, I can honestly say that Sony is still continuing to take steps in the right direction. The sound that the 5's produce is absolutely phenomenal, the bass is great, along with the overall clarity of refined sound. Besides the sound quality, I think the 5's are REALLY stylish and good looking. I enjoy the fact that Sony has did away with the folding that is seen throughout previous models. I always thought the folding mechanism on the 4's was a little bit weird, especially when trying to put them into the case. It took me some time once I got my 4's to properly put them in the case without worrying about if they were right, with the 5's that's now fixed. I absolutely enjoy the case that the 5's have, it's way bigger than the 4's case and also looks more modern in my personal opinion. Overall, I enjoy the Wh-1000xm5's a lot as you can tell and I think anyone who decides to pick up a pair for themselves will be just as satisfied.

I bought them specifically for my 18 hour flight and let me tell you - best decision I EVER made. I went from very cheap noise-canceling headphones to these and the difference is so noticeable. These headphones make it so I forget entirely that surrounding noises are taking place. The sound of audio is crisp, clear, and the base is booming - something I really appreciate. You can tinker with audio setting in the headset app if needed. Overall this headphone is the best set I've ever had and the white color is so sleek and stylish. And battery life goes for at least 2 days for my needs.
