While we're happy that you like the great sound and you're utilizing the built-in equalizer on the Sony Headphones Connect app, we're sorry to hear you're experiencing intermittent audio and the touch sensor control panel does not respond correctly. Multiple Wi-Fi devices, microwave ovens, cordless phones, or devices that transmit 2.4 GHz band frequency radio waves can cause the sound to cut out. To improve transmission, set the headphones to prioritize on stable connection (via Sony Headphones Connect app) and see if it resolves the problem.

When you wear the headset over a cap, cloth, a scarf, hair, etc., wearing detection may not work properly, and the touch sensor control panel may not be available for operation. Wear the headset so that your ears are inside the earpads. We also recommend to clear the touch sensor so that you can tap the touch sensor directly. If the problem continues on the WH-1000XM5 headphones, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.
