I am almost 80 years old, with hearing loss. I tested several models in the store, all sound pretty much the same. The kicker was the comfort - with the sony's you don't even know you're wearing them. I figured that if they were uncomfortable, I probably wouldn't wear them. Recommended.

Even folded up they are quite a bit bigger than I expected. Not all that convenient for carrying on a plane without a backpack.
