    Hinge breaks easily. Sony and Best Buy will not repair them. The only option is to REPURCHASE a pair which is unfair. Look into the class action lawsuit. Save your money.

    Stopped connecting to my desktop.

    I was happy with these headphones until they just suddenly stopped connecting to my desktop which is my main source for my streaming services. They will connect to my smartphone but not to my 2 year old TV or my PC. I still have my XM3's which I went back to and they connected immediately. And may I add sounded better. So having bought them back in May I am well past the return window so I am stuck with a $400 paperweight which bevause of pther promotions I was paying off I haven'£t even started paying for uet. Obviously I am not a happy camper.

    These are the worst headphones you can ever buy make your ears sweaty stop working after six months. Did not charge. Did not connect with Bluetooth. Please do not buy beware

    I have tried both AirPods Max and these and came to the conclusion that over the ear headphones are not for me. I did like the weight of these better but the clamping force was a bit too much and after about 3 hours of wear they hurt the top of my head, the heavier air pods max actually hurt the top of my head less but also had too much clamping force. These are much lighter but do not sound as good as AirPods Max.

      For sound quality related issues or concerns, please try these following steps:
      Turn down the volume of the connected device if it is too loud.
      When playing music, if the headset and the transmitting Bluetooth device are connected via an HFP or HSP Bluetooth connection, switch the Bluetooth connection to A2DP with the connected device.
      Some devices that emit ultrasonic sound waves designed to repel rodents may occasionally be installed at the entrances of commercial facilities or subway stations. Near such devices, the ultrasonic sound waves may cause noise or unusual sound to be heard from the headset. Leave the place where the noise or unusual sound is heard. Or turn off the noise canceling function/Ambient Sound Mode from the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

    Obviously, it is a faulty product, as it pertains to durability, not even a year, and just like everyone else problem with it, the hinge broke. For an expensive product it is held together by cheap material. Even with a product alert and in-warranty you will have to pay $99.99 (discount by the way) to get it fixed, because it doesn't cover damage. How it broke, I picked them up one day, and they just snapped on the left side. If you choose to buy this, get the Geek Squad Protection, Sony's warranty won't help you.

    I was so excited about these headphones because they were supposed to be great but I'm constantly being disconnected (I'm wired in), and the noise cancellation randomly turns off when I'm not even touching the headphones. The side of the headphones is the remote and it's too sensitive that even if my hair touches it will change some setting.

      Hi SamsonS, While we're glad that you like the features, we regret that you find the WH1000M5 uncomfortable. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. For more comfortable listening experience, it is recommended to extend the slider to its full length before putting on the headset. If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect. The wearing detection function of the headset may also not work properly and cause music playback to stop automatically or activate the automatic power off function (the battery saving function) to automatically turn off the headset.

    From usability stand point it wasn't as great as other brands. Also, top part was putting pressure on my head over time. And sound / eq wasn't as good as other top of the line headphones.

      For optimum fit and comfort, make sure that you are wearing the headphones properly. Adjust the headband depending on your head shape. You may find this link helpful:

      For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Sound Connect app). Sound quality may vary depending on the source content. Aside from adjusting the equalizer, these steps may help improve your experience:

      -When playing music, if the headset and the transmitting Bluetooth device are connected via an HFP or HSP Bluetooth connection, switch the Bluetooth connection to A2DP with the connected device.
      -When using a video calling application on a computer, switch the Bluetooth connection to HFP or HSP by operating the computer. During a video call, sound quality may become low due to the conditions of the communication line.
      -If the headset connects to the previously connected Bluetooth device, the headset may only establish the HFP/HSP Bluetooth connection when it is turned on. Use the connected device to connect via an A2DP Bluetooth connection.
      -When listening to music from a computer on the headset, the sound quality may be poor (difficult to hear the singer’s voice, etc.) for the first few seconds. This is due to the computer specifications (priority on stable connection at the start of transmission and then switches to priority on sound quality several seconds later) and is not a headset malfunction. If the sound quality does not improve after a few seconds, use the computer to establish an A2DP connection.
