Compared to AirPods Max, I prefer airpods
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not gonna lie after substantial use of the AirPods Max I got used to its seamless connection to all the Apple devices. And the feel of these made me almost return them the day I opened it. It honestly felt like some really cheap headphones because of the weight and feel of the plastic. The AirPods Max feel more premium because of the aluminum body, but after giving them a shot with the Sony headphones app, these are very costomizable. To be completely fair the AirPods Max and these Sony headphones have their own pros and cons but overall I really think I do enjoy the AirPods Max better. Don’t get me wrong the sound quality and costimizations are great on these Sony Headphones but again, I really do think I prefer the AirPods Max over these.

Weak ANC

Sony made a terrible decision to limit the ANC on these headphones. Even if you turn off adaptive ANC, you still don't have full control over the level of ANC. I just want to have maximum ANC all the time, but Sony does not allow that. In quieter environments the ANC is weakened. There are quite a few threads on Reddit about this issue, but Sony still hasn't fixed it. The ANC on Bose & Apple headphones is so much better than Ssony.

Not for heavy use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones at my local best buy about six months ago and ended up using them almost everyday during that time, I’m talking atleast ten hours a day and even sleeping in them. At the four month mark, I did notice the band/head piece began to bend, which probably wouldn’t have happened if I either used them less or the band was a bit thicker. Either way, they broke. I’m not saying don’t buy these headphones, they’re absolutely amazing in every other way, just not for heavy use. If I needed these for the occasional use, they would’ve been top notch.

Overall a good buy and worth the money

They have nice sound quality, user-friendly intuitive touch controls, comfortable ear cushions, and fashionable colors. They do have good-quality noise cancellation and fast charging. The headphone case is adorable. Cons: Ear plugs do not rotate. Headphones are not foldable like Beats. Airpods Pro 2nd generation seems to have a better noise-cancellation in my opinion, but those are in-ear headphones. Still, I would recommend this for an Over-the-Ear Headphones category. Overall it's 4.5/5

Such is the case with Sony's WH-1000XM5, the fifth generation of the 1000X series headphones, that were first released in 2016 as the MDR-1000X Wireless and have grown in popularity as each generation has improved. Sony has made some design changes over the years, but nothing as dramatic as what it has done with the WH-1000XM5. Aside from the $400 price increase, I think the changes are good, and the WH-1000XM5 contains a single key upgrade that is validly awesome, but others may disagree.

Wanted a pair of headphones that would cancel noise and it does so very well. Transparency mode is also real good. No connectivity problems. Great headphone overall. Worth the buy for sure. GREAT battery life. Lasts what seems like for ever. I really only use them for the gym but used them to edit a video and they were great, battery lasts for ever.
