They lack sweat resistance and ways to be more stable while running and working out, granted they aren't meant for that really but if I'm spending a few hundred for these I would like to think working out wouldn't be a problem. Sound great and feel nice on my head.

Be careful when using the unit in the rain or snow, or in humid locations. When wearing the headphones, we suggest to adjust the headband and the earpads properly. These headphones actually support super-soft, pressure-relieving earpads in foamed urethane evenly distribute pressure and increase ear/pad contact for a stable fit. These headphones are excellent - the buttonless control took a bit to get used to, but once I did, it was very smooth to control everything with just a touch. Battery life is also very good! Definitely would recommend!

Yes to noise cancellation, no to disconnection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes the noise cancelling works, yes it’s comfortable. However, it is SO TOUCHY. If I cough, it disconnects, if I turn my head, it disconnects, even when I’m sitting still doing absolutely nothing, it finds a way to disconnect. I don’t know if I got a defective device since the reviews for this product is amazing, so I have no clue. It is somewhat disappointing. The app is up to date, and this was a gift back in March, so even if I wanted to return it and get a new pair, it probably wouldn’t work. I have AirPods but those always fall out, and when working out, I wanted something noise canceling that will stay in place. Well I got that, but I have to deal with disconnections all the time.

Please make sure to wear the headset properly. In order to prevent the headset from reacting incorrectly, stop music playback, making and receiving calls, and other operations cannot be performed when the headset is removed, even if you tap the touch sensor control panel. Also, if you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting the wearing detection function to not work properly and cause music playback to stop automatically or activate the automatic power off function (the battery saving function) to automatically turn off the headset. By using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, you can change the settings of the wearing detection automatic music playback pause and resume function and the wearing detection automatic power off function (the battery saving function).

Better than the XM4, but with annoying hiccups.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These are better than the XM4 that I owned, but they happen to have 2 issues that I find annoying. 1) The ANC will turn off by itself and turn back on. 2) It will just turn off by themselves with a small pop sound. Nothing is broken, I just use that pop sound to know if what Im listening to is buffering or the headphones just need to be turned back on. Both issues rarely happen, at least once a month.

Downloaded the app, complete control of sound settings. I can take them off and they cut off! I can put my hand on the cup and now I can talk without taking the phones off! There’s more but man!!! Great headphones

Was nice to have noise cancellation, music/movie sounds was crisp. Comfortable on ears/head the whole time. Just had to get use to remembering functions to turn up volume or skip songs, pretty easy to figure out. Paid for expedited shipping but it arrived 2 days late. Good thing not was before the trip!

What I will speak to is this: I use the headset to listen to music or take & place telephone calls on my iPhone 11. I also use it with Zoom & Teams meetings. Sadly, the headset will randomly play the chime and disconnect from bluetooth, then play a new chime and reconnect to my source anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes later. Sony has suggested that my headset's charge is low, or the charge on my iPhone's battery is low. Nope. Or that I my headset is too far from my iPhone source. Nope. The iPhone is in my pocket or in my hand or on my desk, less than 3 feet from the headset. Sony has suggested i make sure that my headset's firmware is current. It is. Or that my iOS version is up to date. It is. Or that my Sony headphones iOS app is not current. Hogwash.I have the same issue when I use my Sony with my MacBook Pro. I will add that I have an old Bose QC35 headset and it NEVER, EVER does this! NOT ONCE. I actually did not use my Sony headset for the first 2 weeks that I owned it, and sadly I discovered this deal-killing problem after the time window to return these to Best Buy. My recommendation: DO NOT buy this product!

In addition, have you already tried resetting or initializing the headphones? If not yet, we also recommend trying that step.
Connect the headset to an AC outlet.
Press the power button and the NC/AMB button simultaneously.
If the headset does not operate correctly even after resetting, initialize the headset to restore factory settings.

Not worth the price tag unless you've got money

First of all, the noise cancelling feature isn't all that great. I could still hear my neighborhood train go by when my music was at a decent level, and my neighbor sawing next door. When I do the dishes I can hear that noise. It lessons with the ANC on versus off, but for over $400 I don't want to hear ANY outside noise. I am petite and these feel big on my head. Laying down with them on feels awkward. Music sounded fantastic in the store but not as good at home. I had a few experiences of the Bluetooth cutting out when listening to music on my phone and nothing is more annoying than that. Not sure why that would be. Lastly, after about an hour of use, my ears are super sweaty where their cushions are. In the end, these didn't feel or sound like their pricetag and I will be returning.
