||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of the Sony WH-1000 series of over-the-ear headphones. I have XM5 and XM3. My husband took my XM3 after I got the XM5. Love the feel of them much more than other headphones -- super-comfortable and easy to wear for a long time at work. I wear mine for music, noise cancelling, and online meeting. The only issue, if my co-worker who sits next to me is also on the exact same online meeting with her wireless headphones at the same time, the Sony gets some feedback. I take them off wireless and plug in if that happens and the issue is gone. It happens rarely enough that it's not a dealbreaker. I've tried Bose before, and these are so much better and more comfortable, so I'm pretty to committed to the Sonys. One annoyance: Best Buy sent Navy instead of silver, but maybe it was for the best as the Navy is a cool color and probably doesn't show dirt like a Silver would have.

Ive had them on my wish list for a while and I finally pulled the trigger and I dont regret it at all. The customization is honestly the best feature and really sets them apart from competitors. They are really loud and the sound is crisp. They are extremely comfortable to wear and arent heavy on the head at all. The ear cushions are great as well and have a nice seal.

Fit is great and both sound quality as well as noise cancelling properties are superb. There is a pro and con with its associated phone app, but overall I like its integration and tuneability of the bass/treble levels to your liking. The noise cancelling it's top notch and the audio get pretty loud. The touch features come in handy, I use them more than I thought I would. Battery life is great, with uses here and there I went a month on the factory charge before having to charge them up for the first time. These are definitely worth it.

Used for a couple weeks for work without needing to charge, charged from 30 to 100 percent in 1hr. This generation has an amazing improvement in sound quality with the carbon fiber drivers. With this new version all distortion at high volumes from bass is completely eliminated, unlike the XM4s or Bose 700 headphones. 10/10 would buy again.

Great pair of headphones

I was more on the side of the AirPods Max, because it fit the apple ecosystem. However, I jumped on the Sony train. Great noise cancellation and excellent battery life! The price is also much better than the AirPods Max, but if you want superior noise cancellation, go with the AirPods Max. The other thing is that the XM5’s don’t really fatigue your head after long use. I highly recommend these headphones
