They would be a 5 star if my pair hadn’t broken so easily. Sound quality, noise cancelling, and weight/comfort ratio are all top of the line in its respective market. Only drawback is if you’re an IPhone User the connectivity isn’t as flawless as with other Apple devices, but that’s just Apple taking advantage of the lax US consumer protection laws

My only dislike, and this is more of a me issue, so I did not want to take away a star, is that I don’t think they get loud enough. I am one of those grumpy old. GWOT veterans with messed up hearing so I need my headphones and earbuds to be super loud, but I think there’s a lot of software in every headset, and in phones and stuff that prevent volume from reaching a certain level. But I don’t actually know, so I won’t take away to start. Bottom line, buy the headphones, if you have the money!

Excellent noise cancelling and sound is clear, but not sure if they are really that much better than most other headphone. I am not an audiophile, but I like them. I do have a problem at times watching a movie on my iPad with these headphone, where they beep at me and my movie pauses. It seems like the problem with the headphones, but I am not 100% sure.

I work as a programmer and use these headphones at least 5hrs+ per week day. After work, I head over to gym for another hour of usage. I have been using these headphones for a month. I've always appreciated good and clean noise but noise cancelling is my top priority I am comparing this to my XM4s which I've had prior to these and used it in exact same conditions and usage for more than a year. Noise cancelling is not good at all on these headphones. I can hear my colleagues more almost clearly. I had to double check the settings multiple times so far to make sure noise cancelling is actually on. When I go to the bathroom at work and turn on the vent, you can clearly hear the difference in the amount of vent noise that gets in. When I have my head down, its loud, when I am washing my hands, its not as loud. It is a small one person bathroom so its not the distance. It is all this AI crap that they use now and the AI is trying to decide how much it is supposed to let in or out. XM4s would just keep everything out and that was that. This is super annoying that the amount of noise cancellation just keeps changing when you move 2ft... As I am just writing this, I just head my colleague move his mouse, while these are on my head... Not a keyboard click, but he just lifted his mouse and put it back down... 15ft away from me... wow ... total crap at this price point if you ask me. Noise cancelling seems to equal to how well the pads are covering your ears added with whatever you are playing and to me that is not noise cancelling... This whole using AI to adjust noise cancelling idea is a total bust. They should have improved what was on XM4s not re-write what was working. Enough about the noise cancelling, or the lack there of, let's talk about battery. It is also not superior to XM4s. At the end of a work day, XM4s would have more than %50 easy, these go down to %30 and when it is time to go to the gym, after 15 minutes or so, they are down at %20... Comfort You can clearly see in the pics that the XM4s have more padding. These cover around my ear more but they are more pushy kind of squeezing it Mobility As others stated, these don't fold. It has a bigger footprint. Loose point there too Conclusion These are not an upgrade to XM4s. There is a slight improvement on the sound I will give you that XM5s but it is not worth it since XM4s are already an amazing sounding pair. I will most likely going to return these and get XM4s

Worthwhile upgrade
