Sony really outdid themselves on the XM5s, the 4's were great, but this pair is next level.

Good ANC, Terrible Build Quality

However, the sound quality is a bit lower than I expected. The build quality of these are also absolutely horrendous as they have broken from just sitting on a shelf of an extended period of time.

We're glad to hear you’re enjoying the noise cancelling on the WH‑1000XM5s, but we're really sorry to hear the sound and build did not fulfill your expectations. The headphones definitely shouldn’t be breaking like that, so we recommend reaching out to our service center, Encompass, for a low-cost repair: https://sony.encompass.com/parts-accessories/Sony-Repair-Services
For the sound, you might also want to try adjusting some of the EQ settings in the Sony | Sound Connect app, it can make a big difference depending on what you’re listening to.

The compatibility features worked well on both my iPhone and her Android without any issues and the noise cancellation on these is incredible!!! Definitely see what the hype is all about and after trying them out a few times, I would definitely buy these again for myself.

Speak to chat should default to your latest selection. I get tired of turning that off. OTHERWISE? Stellar headset with amazing options, sound, and nc.

They worked great! I was able to listen to my movie without having to crank up the volume. The noise cancelling was amazing. I also liked the ability to pause the movie with a tap on the headphone and turn off the noise cancelling by covering it with my hand to hear the announcements. I definitively recommend these.

Sony Noise canceling phones - best out there

The hospital is busy and noisy - these phones are amazing. They give me the peace and quiet I need to get through my long days. Great value, and amazing sound quality. The noise cancelling works very well, allows me to get lots of work done with little to no distractions. It's features are really good, plus it's connection quality is great! While they're expensive, they're definitely worth every dollar if you're someone who loves listening to music alot!
