The BEST ANC in the game

I really enjoy these headphones. The audio quality is really good for wireless headphones, and there is the option to use a 3.5mm cable if you would like to make the sound quality even better. The case is bigger than the last generation, but still isn't bulky in my experience carrying it almost everywhere I go. The pass-through mode to hear your surroundings is really good, almost as good as AirPods Pro 2, which is surprising considering the form factor of these close-back headphones. Battery lasts multiple days, even though it takes so little time to charge.

A Sony Headphone Must Have

He was knowledgeable about both products and, in the end, I was sold on the Sony. I think I got the best deal. The sound is awesome and just what I wanted.

I wore these in an RV, which has a loud motor, with the windows open, and I could not hear the motor and barely the wind while I had the noise cancelling on with a show playing. Another plus is the battery life, which seems to be infinite. Out of the box the headphones were at 50% battery, and I was unable to charge them because I was traveling, so I used them with the battery that was already on them, which lasted for hours upon hours of streaming movies and shows. When I went to check the battery afterwards, they had only gone down a few percent. My only critique is that the headband, although plush, is thin and applies all of the weight and pressure from the headphones onto one part of my head. Aside from this, the headphones are quite comfortable around my ears and I have had no other issues with them.

The first thing i believe that separated these headphones from other noise cancelling headphones is there is no weird pressure feeling on the ears from the nose cancelling. They create an atmosphere that is truly quiet. And there is a lot of customization. The (i don't remember the name of the feature) ability to cover the one side to temporarily turn off the noise cancelling to listen to people talking to you is nice. Also I've had them since before Christmas and haven't charged them yet. So I'm going to say the battery life is really good

Sturdier than you think, and sound AMAZING

Yes, you do need to handle them with love, but no they do not break easily. Yes accidents happen, but it isnt thathard be mindful when using them. If you are careful they will last you years. THESE ARE NOT MEANT FOR THE GYM OR ROUGH USE. They are for enjoying music, traveling etc. Treat them like you would an very full cup of coffee. You dont want it to spill while you carry it so you pay attention to how you hadle it. These are the same, but are so wortht he comfort and sound quality which is way better than the XM4’s.

Great sound, comfortable, so-so app

Noise canceling is outstanding. I didn't care for the app and couldn't find a equalizer setting that really made me happy, but that's a minor nitpick. The head band and ear cups are comfortable; however, moving around and laying on the couch while listening, these wouldn't stay in place on my head. Surely that won't be an issue for everyone.

Awesome sound and great comfortability

However, i made the decision to buy them and was definitely surpirsed at how nice they felt. The sound quality is also great, especially once you are able to tinker with the EQ to match your liking, and they are super light and comfortable to wear. I initially bought them under the impression I may want to return them, but ultimately decided agaisnt it becase I liked them so much!

Best Headphones, Terrible for Gaming.

These are really top notch, HOWEVER. I originally purchased these for gaming. They do not work for gaming. Playing music, watching shows, making phone calls, using them at night to watch TV to keep noise down its great for all of them. The gestures and touch capabilities are nice as well, you can fast-forward, rewind, pause, and turn volume up and down with touches and swipes. It also has great sound cancellation, You could fire a gun off behind someone wearing these and they wouldn't know, heck might be able to use these at the range. Hooking them up to a PC the microphone would not let these babies utilize their full potential, sounds like being on walkie-talkies, and i could not figure out how to deactivate it for just output no inputs. I purchased the LG Lightspeed Pro X2 for gaming now. I will also disclose that i bought these on sale for 299.99 which helped a lot. Knowing what i know now, i would not spend the 400 on these as they did not perform the task i'd bought them for originally. Get em on sale if you can, great for an audiophile.

Just when you thought that they could have stymied innovation, they come along with a pair of lighter headphones that are actually BETTER at noise canceling than they were before. I wouldn't have believed it, but its true. These are lighter, sound just as good to my ear, and the noise canceling is crazy. Crazier than the crazy before...crazier. The XM4s would actually hurt my head, too, after a while. I didn't get that with the XM5s. Glad I upgraded. I have yet to test the voice quality on calls, but I will. The one issue I have with these is that after a while, they will just disconnect. You can be watching a movie, or listening to music (in other words, you're actively using them) and it still disconnects. Yes, I went to the app and set it to not turn off...but it still does. I bet they can fix it with a firmware update, but still, for a $400 pair of headphones...that's a miss out of the gates.

Very good noise cancellation.

The ear cuffs are thin and not super cushioned so a little noise can come in when wearing glasses. The head hoop bar is less padded than expected so there are some concerns on durability but only time will tell that. They are comfortable to wear so far. Battery life is very good.
