The only issue I have is that the disconnect and reconnect if I’m using them for my work laptop and my phone is near by. It’s annoying during a meeting

I needed some to help me when I am studying, I can’t focus with to many sounds around me but I also can’t focus with music to loud. Even so while play lofi study music and having the noise cancellation on it did wonders. I couldn’t Hear anything and if I did it was so muffled that it wouldn’t distract me. I also love love the feature where you can put your hand on the headphones and it’ll let you listen to your surroundings. Many would say it’s annoying that they can’t hear the person talking to them to clearly or their surroundings but, let’s be real. These headphones are probably only for work use like studying or working and not really for everyday use like normal headphones. These are definitely meant to make your world quiet and muffled.

Will never go back to subpar headphones ever again. The sound quality is immaculate. I highly suggest listening to any John Williams music at full volume with your eyes closed. It's so immersive. I've got 10+ ear piercings and these don't bother any of them!

Best for guys with a larger head, sound is okay

However, there not great. At the price I expected better sounding. But they fit my head which is the most important issue for me. I tried the top 4 in this class of headphones. It cancels out the noise well. But the music does not sound that great.

When playing music, if the headset and the transmitting Bluetooth device are connected via an HFP or HSP Bluetooth connection, switch the Bluetooth connection to A2DP with the connected device. Despite your concern, it's good to hear that you still like them, especially the noise canceling feature. With our WH-1000XM5 headphones, you can enjoy magnificent sound quality which is engineered to perfection and have a battery life that can last up to 30 hours with quick charging (3 min charge for 3 hours of playback). With 8 total microphones, these headphones are our biggest step forward in noise canceling technology. The only thing is the noise cancelling it made me feel like my eyes were going to pop out and caused me mild headaches other than that I recommend these head phones as they sound amazing.
