These headphones are the best all-around option after comparing them to other flagship models. While the Momentum 4s offer superior sound and bass, the comfort level of the XM5s is unmatched. The exceptional sound quality can be further customized with the adjustable EQ settings. The case is slightly larger, but it fits well in a school bag, contrary to some negative feedback. The microphone quality, sound quality, comfort, and price (I purchased them for $300) are all excellent. These headphones excel in all areas, providing an exceptional music listening experience for extended periods. While the Momentum 4s may have a slight edge in sound quality, they caused discomfort after prolonged use. The XM5s, on the other hand, offer a well-balanced sound profile with an optimal balance of bass and treble. In conclusion, the XM5s are a must-have for anyone seeking a high-quality audio experience.

[Employee of bestbuy] The headphones have great noise cancellation, they aren't perfect but they sure are impressive. They are very comfortable but in warmer weather, they will make you feel a little suffocated. They aren't meant for the gym though, if you are laying down on a bench they will fall off your head because of the sweat, in this case earbuds are a better option. For casual walks, around the house, at a cafe, these are amazing. They have great sound quality and very nice bass. They aren't too bass heavy and the Sony app has a built in equalizer so you can customize if you want more bass, and customize your sound profile. The on headphones controls are also somewhat customizable. The left side of the headphones will control power, whether to turn ANC off and on or have pass through enabled. The left side you can control the volume up and down by swiping up and down the sides of the headphones. You can double tap the side to pause your media. Hover your hand over the right side to enable pass through and it lowers your media to hear your surrounding temporarily. There are many other features. The sound is amazing, the active noise cancellation is one of the best, the features are bountiful, the customer service is great, the only thing is it isn't meant for lots of sweat or working out.

Had these for more than a year and thought I’d leave a review. These headphones are probably the best noise canceling from Sony. Better bass than the XM4s and battery life. I get at least 22-25 hours of battery life paired with the iPhone 12 for the past year shocking. I don’t even need to max the volume because the noise canceling does so well with its smart chip. I sleep with no issues with these on haha. I like the headphone app in which I could change the sound settings to my liking. I listen to a lot of genres and it sounds clean. Audiophiles rejoice!!

Disclaimer: Heavily invested in Apple’s ecosystem of products. I watched a lot of videos and reviews on these headphones prior to purchasing so it was between Apple and Sony. I chose the Sony XM5s because I thought they felt more comfortable, their noise canceling is top notch and the sound quality seems more natural to me than Apple’s, this is purely subjective of course. Your mileage may vary. Build quality is pretty sturdy and I love the case as sometimes I have to to travel. Battery life is also pretty amazing as well, they claim it’s 30 hours and it just might be, haven’t done any actual test of my own. I love the Sony app for this as the amount of customization kind of sealed the deal for me as well. They can only get even better from here.

Ive never owned quality headphoens until now. These Sony WH-1000xm5 headphones are pretty good at noise canceling especially when i pair them to Alienware M16 R1. Volume is great, design is modern, battery is very good, and connectivity great due to the fact that incan connect via headphone jack. Its got great audio quality for music and video games. The carrying pack is also simple and nice.

These headphones are my absolute favorite. I was debating between the Apple, beats, and Sony but after trying them all out, these were superior. The noise cancelling is amazing. I love the clean look and color. They are so comfortable and adjustable to different head sizes. Comfortable for lifting and running. They do fall off when I work out abs or do push ups though. They don’t fold smaller for storage but the hard case is so pretty and protects them fine. Battery lasts soooooo long!

I have been using these for work at my office when I speak with clients as well as dailys for the gym/free time. Going on about 8 months with them. Love the fact that they are comfortable, can connect to work & personal phone or whatever 2 devices. Easy to clean. I sweat a lot @ the gym and and have no issues with cleaning them with a baby wipe/damp towel every time. Noise Canceling is great! 9/10. With NC off it's perfect for sound and being able to walk aware of your surroundings. Battery like is A1, I use them about 8 hours a day and can't remember a time they have every ran out. Charging is quick. Will Def buy these again or newer model hopefully when they no longer work.

These headphones have amazing sound quality, and a great battery life.I have had no issues with the Bluetooth going in and out. All and all these headphones were a great purchase.

They're the best ANC headphones I've found, and I've tried pretty much every mid and high end pair I could find. These cancel noise better, have better and fuller sound profiles, and are lighter weight and more comfortable on the head all day. I like the case it comes with too and the headphones not folding up, to me, is a pro. Battery life is amazing, I'm always plugging them in before they need it because I'm used to my things needing to be charged more.

Best headphones I have ever purchased. Although these are expensive, they are worth every penny. Very comfortable, & stylish while doing a great job of blocking out background noise. Definitely recommend to anyone considering these.

About two weeks of owning them, coming from earbuds the past few years. Very comfortable, amazing sound, I love to play with eq and just about everything sounds great no matter what. Noise cancellation works well. Just as transparency mode. It also has adaptive modes that can switch between modes for you like if you start a conversation or if a loud train is passing by. Pretty light/gentle pressure on the head, we all know the feeling, mostly comfortable unless you have an industrial piercing like me on the ear, hoping I can find something more compatible so that I don't have to deal with the sound leak and discomfort. Otherwise, perfect value at the current price. Only complaint is the cloth case... Great design but I'm not exactly sure how it's meant to be cleaned. And the material of the cushion is apparently stain prone as well, but that comes with most white/beige things. They get dirty eventually. The outside casing seems like a durable plastic though, I've already dinged it a few times and no scratches or scuffs. Just hope the soft material is as durable.

They sound really good, but you can hear the wind hitting the windshield. It’s kind of weird, but they still sound really good. and comfortable.
