Comfy, Clear, A+ headphones Completely worth the $

I fell in love them them too, so much so that I bought a pair for myself! The sound, is crystal clear, and full and the headphones are soooo light and cozy, yet dont slip at all. We can both wear them for hours and totally forget we have them on.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] the sound quality is very very good but the form factor is the best selling point. the matte pastelly reinforced plastic on the ears and the leather ear bits feel so secure and comfy but my favorite is the band. i have problems with headphones that feel too tight or create a weird vaccum that makes me lightheaded. i dont have that issue with these headphones. That does mean if i start headbanging theyll fall off but that doesnt bother me so much. the adjustment is a slider which i also love. They also sound really good plugged into my roland piano keyboard with the included 3.5 mm cable. these headphones are my best friend

Sony Hit This One Out of the Ballpark!

The comfort is exceptional where you can wear it for several hours on end. I took a 16 hour international flight and a 4 hour connecting flight and had no problem keeping these on nearly the entire time. The light weight makes you want to keep these on your head listening to music. The battery life is also exceptional that I still used them for a 1-2 hours for several days after my trip without recharging. The case is compact enough to fit in my bag that has about 3 inches width. If you're an audiophile, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and cable provided so you can listen to high resolution music without compromise. The only negative is that Sony didn't include a USB-C power adapter to charge these headphones. Newer GaN ones can deliver sufficient current for charging and they're very small.

My criteria for selecting headphones was Quality of sound (Crisp highs and powerful clean bass) Comfort and Noise canceling. The XM5 delivered all three. If I had any wish, it would be to figure out how to keep from getting warm after extended use. So pleasantly surprised at how light they are and to deliver such rich sound. Second surprise was the simple but effective controls. Finally the quality of the noise cancelling was amazing. I can sit in the living room with my wife watch her show while I listen to music or watch my own movie and never hear anything but what I am supposed to. They are pricey but if you are particular, they are worth it.

Great noise canceling headphones

I bought these headphones to help me study in working spaces and for working out. They block out noise really well and the battery life is seemingly everlasting. The charge time to full power is super quick as well. I can wear these headphones for hours at a time without feeling uncomfortable. The touch functions on the side of the right earphone are easy to use, and it's really helpful to be able to switch between transparency mode and noise-cancelling mode with a touch of a button on the headphones too. The noise quality is great as well.

One of the greatest headphones ever

These are the best headphones I've used, but the last headphones I had were the first Beats Solo in 2009 then I had a Razer gaming headset. It's very comfortable and light. Sound quality is wonderful, good bass and clear audio. It's one of the most stylish headphones, Sony has nailed the minimalistic design. The versatility is great from using wirelessly or wired with different devices whether it's for gaming, music, movies and surfing the web. Wished I was able to wear it to the gym. If you can afford it, stop thinking about it and just get it.

The headphones are comfortable to wear. I wear them for long periods of time without any discomfort. The rubber cushions feel great over my head. Build quality tells me that the headphones will last. Sony WH1000X5 Wireless Headphones are good

I debated between the Bose and Sony. Ultimately bought the Sony. Pros: Excellent sound quality for movies and music, comfortable ear pods. Easy to use touch and button features and app to fine tune sound. Love that I can plug in for hardwire connection; and I have used that capability a few times. Battery life is very good and it connects to Bluetooth easily. Cons: If you have a smaller head, you may not be able to adjust the fit small enough. The pressure then sits on the top of your head and that can be uncomfortable after a couple of hours. Bose was the same as far as fit. Also, noise cancelling is good but not exceptional. They don't fold up for smaller carry size. Would have been nice, but not a must. Does make them a little clunky to carry around.

Plenty of intuitive features. The permissions required in the app seem kind of invasive though, and the app is really pushy about you accepting them. I just close the app and restart. Not really an issue if you don't plan on using the app or its features. I get by fine without them for my purposes. One example is that the headphones and app will curate a list of "your top hits" if you allow it access to everything you listen to. That's a huge privacy concern to me. So, if you're also wary of these types of things, just be aware that the app probably won't be much use for you aside from changing sound settings.

Also very comfortable, I do not usually like/use headphones because they give me headaches, but I have worn these a few hours without issue. The sound quality it also very good, not tiney or washed out at all, also not too bass heavy. If I had to say one negative it would be that they are a little bulky to travel with because they do not fold up. However, they plus side to that is that they feel more durable. Overall, as reflected in the 5 stars, definitely a worth it purschase if you like to listen tk music while working in public and do not want to hear all the noise or if you are traveling.

The sound is super clean, the bass feels really good, and the noise canceling is actually insane. They’re crazy comfortable too, so I can wear them for hours without even thinking about it. Plus the battery lasts forever and they switch between my devices without me doing anything. Honestly, they just make everything I listen to sound better. I’m really glad I got them.

Amazing Sound Quality but Not Super Comfortable

They have exccelent noise cancelling and great connectivity. The music and shows I listen to are always really clear. Battery life is also excellent. *** However, the band can get pretty uncomfortable after using for a couple hours, and I don’t love that they can’t fold.
