Seems to really like them and all the neat features they come with / offer. Also seem to be built well and perform well. They are a bit pricey, but i got these on sale just before christmas and feel like they’re worth what I paid.

Expected some noted improvements in the xm5’s and they delivered. Sound quality is great, additional sound diagnostics/information. Slimmer headband is comfortable, overall feels light and portable in a sporty way, while the xm4’s feel elegant as if to be used in a professional environment. Only complaint, and was a deal breaker for me, is the ear cushions - they are much softer than the xm4’s and when looking in the mirror you see the cusion compressed almost all the way to the earpiece. Felt uncomfortable with glasses on. If you are a first time buyer these are great; if you own a prior model you may want to consider hanging on to it alongside your new xm5’s.

Worth the investment

They have superior nose cancellation and the added features are definitely worth the investment. I do miss the fact they do no fold like my old pair. Makes it a little more bulky to carry. The noise cancellation does take a tolll on the battery life.

He was the best! You have people who care a lot for customers (like this guy and people who absolutely don't care like a guy who was attending the kitchen appliances that day, he was more interested in taking care of his phone messages than taking care of my questions. These WH1000XM5's are simply a phenom! They perform as promised and allow me to get rid of the sound from the a/c unit in my rental home. Forget about the music, just LISTEN and you will fall in love this Sony headset.

The sound quality on these are amazing and all the cool little features like the right cup is your controls you place your hand over it and it pauses the song and your able to hear whoever is talking to you. Nosie cancellation is the best on the market. You can connet 2 devices and which from which you want to hear from. The only downfall is that your ears get pretty hot when wearing them
