Good ANC, Terrible Build Quality

However, the sound quality is a bit lower than I expected. The build quality of these are also absolutely horrendous as they have broken from just sitting on a shelf of an extended period of time.

For the sound, you might also want to try adjusting some of the EQ settings in the Sony | Sound Connect app, it can make a big difference depending on what you’re listening to.

Don't buy Sony headphones

I previously had the xm4's and let me tell you. They break very easily my xm4's lasted less than two years and it has been less than a year since I bought the xm5's from best buy and they too are broken. I call sony support because it should still be covered under warranty, but "physical damage" is not covered and it will cost over $100 to fix. I bought these for $350 a little over 8 months ago!

Drown out the sound bask in the music/media

I had the M4 for a while and got water into them so they stopped working. Then I got the Beats Studio 3 I must tell you, those are nothing compared to the Sonys. The noise cancellation feature should be the best in the market in my opinion.

XM5 is THE BEST

Amazing noise canceling as always and call quality is better by far from the XM4s. Unfortunately they did away with the voice prompts, instead opting for a series of different tones that I really don’t like. It isn’t enough for them to lose a star but it is annoying nonetheless.

Look at others reviews and you will see the same issue! I even purchased a warranty, which they of course said didn’t cover this issue! They are very expensive, and now I can’t afford to replace them! I called support and sent all my info and they rejected my warranty. Buyer beware!
