Hi TinaB, We're glad that you like the noise canceling function of your new headphones. We're also sorry to hear that you're having issues when using the headphones with Microsoft teams. To use your headphones for video calls on your computer, you need to make sure that the Speaker and Microphone settings are set correctly. Otherwise, the voice of the other party may not be heard or the other party may not hear you.

Before we walk you through the settings, it's important that you know the different types of Bluetooth® profiles and what they are used for. Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is intended to playback music. The Hands-free Profile (HFP) and Headset Profile (HSP) are intended for voice calls.

Depending on the video calling app, the voice call may not be available when connected using the A2DP profile, so make sure to select the HFP/HSP profile when you want to use the headphones for video calls.

Our WH-1000XM5 has a slider that you can use to adjust the length of the headband to get the best fit and for comfortable listening experience. Note: If you put on the headset without adjusting the slider, the headset may not be positioned properly on your head, resulting in discomfort or a weak noise canceling effect. The WH-1000XM5 headphones have a built-in equalizer on the Sony Headphones Connect app which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.
