These headphones are really nice, i can’t compare them to others bc i usually have airpods. I would say the noise cancellation is high quality, and they are also comfortable, i do feel a bit of a headache if i leave them on for too long bc they are a little heavy. Recently it has been turning off my sound cancelling which was really annoying but it’s a click of a button to fix and maybe i have something in the settings that makes it do that. I’d recommend them but only if ur willing to spend the hefty $400+tax price. The sound is amazing, and you can get the app which allows you to change how you hear the music, more bass etc.. but listening to the 4’s in store they sound similar, the 5’s are just a bit crisper and i like the look of them more. Also I have charged them once in like mid sept (posting 10/6) and the battery is amazing i think i’m at 40%. the case is a little bulky but i don’t mind bc it still fits in my bag

They are great headphones! The WH-1000XM5 have quite the exceptional sound quality. It’s as if I’m in the very room whatever I’m listening to is recorded. It has an easy set up and the look and feel of the headphones are top notch. They are comfortable and fit snuggly in your ears. The application it comes with helps you set up the headphones to you deep off and unique needs. Battery life is outstanding , I use it most of the day and only need to charge it once or twice a week. Recommending the headphones is a no-brainer. If your looking for quality headphones that will last your for years, then this is your choice. It’s a must!

Excellent product. Sound quality and noise cancelling features are great. Sits comfortably on the ears. Keeps charge for a while. I do wish they were a little louder though.

Bought this 2022 and 3 years later they still work the same as when I bought them. The noise canceling is my favorite part. It’s very light weight which I love makes it very comfortable to wear. 100% recommend you get these they are amazing. Battery life is still good 3 years later.

As a student, being able to have a nice and quiet environment to work in is crucial to my studies, and with the XM5's I can turn virtually any environment into just that. I have taken these headphones to school every day, including track meets and long bus rides, and I can vouch that these are super comfortable. No matter where I go, as long as I have even a little bit of volume on my music, I can not hear the background. I even use these as home since they are just so comfortable. I would say that they are on the pricy side, so it might not be the best choice for everyone. All in all, these headphones are great, and I don't regret getting them at all, I use them every single day, and I love the audio quality.

By far the best sounding headphones I’ve ever owned, listen to your favorite song and there’ll be instruments and subtle sounds you never noticed before. The battery lasts for days and days. Microphones are excellent for calls. The lack of lag is magical on wireless headphones, similiar to Logitech’s lightspeed headphones but without a big extruding usb dongle. The materials are so soft and comfortable. The noise cancelling is unmatched. They’re expensive but you get what you pay for on every level, these are the best consumer headphones money can buy and the last pair you’ll ever need to buy.

The bass on these is better than any other headphones i've ever tried. Ive had them for months and the battery lasts so long. I've charged them probably 3 times. [Employee of bestbuy] the sound quality is very very good but the form factor is the best selling point. the matte pastelly reinforced plastic on the ears and the leather ear bits feel so secure and comfy but my favorite is the band. i have problems with headphones that feel too tight or create a weird vaccum that makes me lightheaded. i dont have that issue with these headphones. That does mean if i start headbanging theyll fall off but that doesnt bother me so much. the adjustment is a slider which i also love. They also sound really good plugged into my roland piano keyboard with the included 3.5 mm cable. these headphones are my best friend

The sound quality is exceptional and reveals many details. The comfort is exceptional where you can wear it for several hours on end. I took a 16 hour international flight and a 4 hour connecting flight and had no problem keeping these on nearly the entire time. The light weight makes you want to keep these on your head listening to music. The battery life is also exceptional that I still used them for a 1-2 hours for several days after my trip without recharging. The case is compact enough to fit in my bag that has about 3 inches width. If you're an audiophile, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and cable provided so you can listen to high resolution music without compromise. The only negative is that Sony didn't include a USB-C power adapter to charge these headphones. Newer GaN ones can deliver sufficient current for charging and they're very small.

In a word - Wow. Love these headphones. My criteria for selecting headphones was Quality of sound (Crisp highs and powerful clean bass) Comfort and Noise canceling. The XM5 delivered all three. If I had any wish, it would be to figure out how to keep from getting warm after extended use. So pleasantly surprised at how light they are and to deliver such rich sound. Second surprise was the simple but effective controls. Finally the quality of the noise cancelling was amazing. I can sit in the living room with my wife watch her show while I listen to music or watch my own movie and never hear anything but what I am supposed to. They are pricey but if you are particular, they are worth it.

After many seraching reviewing was doubtful but after using for a month for travel and and gym it has been the best product with no regret. Battery is insane, lasting as promoted of 30 hours. Very comfortable and great noise cancellation with adaptive sound feature. Phone app is very user friendly and very resourceful.

I bought these headphones for my boyfriend for Christmas last year and he LOVES them. I fell in love them them too, so much so that I bought a pair for myself! The sound, is crystal clear, and full and the headphones are soooo light and cozy, yet dont slip at all. We can both wear them for hours and totally forget we have them on.

This is after using a few times. These are the best headphones I've used, but the last headphones I had were the first Beats Solo in 2009 then I had a Razer gaming headset. It's very comfortable and light. Sound quality is wonderful, good bass and clear audio. It's one of the most stylish headphones, Sony has nailed the minimalistic design. The versatility is great from using wirelessly or wired with different devices whether it's for gaming, music, movies and surfing the web. Wished I was able to wear it to the gym. If you can afford it, stop thinking about it and just get it.

Absolutely worth it! I bought these headphones to help me study in working spaces and for working out. They block out noise really well and the battery life is seemingly everlasting. The charge time to full power is super quick as well. I can wear these headphones for hours at a time without feeling uncomfortable. The touch functions on the side of the right earphone are easy to use, and it's really helpful to be able to switch between transparency mode and noise-cancelling mode with a touch of a button on the headphones too. The noise quality is great as well.
