Despite your concern, it's nice to know that you still like them, especially the noise canceling feature. With our WH-1000XM5 headphones, you can enjoy magnificent sound quality which is engineered to perfection and have a battery life that can last up to 30 hours with quick charging (3 min charge for 3 hours of playback). Fine in comparison to XM4s

The sound quality remains stellar with clear highs and deep bass you can feel. The biggest con is that I cant fold these up like the XM4s, otherwise these do very well if these are your first nice headphones. If you are upgrading from the XM4, its pretty much a coin flip, but if the XM5 will be your first nice headset, its worth every penny!
