The touch controls are more responsive, the battery life longer, the noise cancelling outstanding... and the sound quality quite excellent. Definitely one of the best options out there, even compared to the much more expensive Apple AirPods Max.

I use these for the gym and my experience at the gym never been better. If you go  frequently to the gym and is looking for headphones in the market, 100% recommend these. The noise cancellation is very good, good bass and sound quality.

For the noise cancellation, ensure they've sealed well around your ears, otherwise it's not good as some other reviewers have noted. Overall the comfort is pretty good minus the top headband. With the new narrow design it concentrates the pressure, which I find rather uncomfortable, especially after long use. I would definitely recommend trying the fit before buying. Given there isn't a star rating for comfort and fit, I'd give that 3 stars due to the issues highlighted above.

While we are thrilled that you are satisfied with the amazing noise canceling and incredible sound quality of our WH-1000XM5, we are really sorry if you find the top headband of these headphones uncomfortable- especially when wearing for a long period of time. The WH-1000XM5 are beautifully finished in newly developed soft fit leather. This material fits snugly around the head with less pressure on the ears while keeping out external sounds. You may try adjusting the headband slider so that they cover your ears and have more personalized comfort. You may also find the following article helpful:

These would be great in an offic setting or for walks around the block. Their noise cancelling is good and i love their ability to stop noise cancelling when talking or being talked to. They're not the loudest headphones. If you want something loud for the gym I wouldn't recommend these.

Wouldn’t recommend for high intensity workouts but great for lounging, light walks, and car rides! Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The quality is well, but the headphones do not fit perfect because it is a little big for me personally when the headphones are on the lowest adjustable height but other than that it fits well and is very comfortable (I have one ear piercing on each side and it has not caused an issue even when I lay in bed with them on). It totally depends on your head size and shape. It is very lightweight and has many useful and cool features. The app is not the easiest to work at first but it just needs some getting used to. The transparency mode is not as good as the AirPod max but is still comparable, but it is still very cool and useful. I believe for the price it is definitely worth it.

Not ideal gym headphones

However if you are planning to use them for the gym I would go for another option as these slide off very easily. At least for me they slide off with no effort when laying down on the bench. However, they are great for running, super lightweight and amazing noise cancelling feature! The Sony headphone app is super easy to navigate as well!

I use this headset 4-7 hours a day on weekdays and 13 hours a day on weekends. Only have had to charge the headset up every four to six days. And the charge speed is incredible. Battery was at 10%, plugged it in went to get groceries, got back to a full charge. Lastly the range is insane. I was able to hear my discord chat the entire time i walked from my room to my car and thats at least a 600 foot distance.
