I wish they made cooking earpieces for them on release, that’s the only thing I would change. I use these to study in order to focus, and they’re comfortable enough to walk with outside as well. So far the connectivity seems pretty seamless.

I would give 5 stars however the price is high in my opinion. I love all the features, the app looks dated but is still useful. The only issues I have are regarding app settings changing and having to reset them each time I turn the headset on/off. Specifically the feature that pauses music when you turn your head gets annoying, I change it in the app however it changes back between uses. Overall, solid headphones but pricey for app annoyances.

I’ve been using the XM5 for about two months and love the feature of being able to customize the eq levels from amplifying the base, vocal projection, & gaming. Every use has the perfect pitch. Perfect for Long Haul Flights

Wore these on an 8+ hour flight on one charge. Love that they come with an aux cord for in-flight entertainment and the noise cancelling was perfect. Also was able to wear a travel pillow and sleep with them on pretty easily.

gym daily, good for unbothered work too

If you use for noise cancelling, you wont be able to hear anything so its good for cutting out distractions. no problems other than having to take care of them. They look like they have the potential to break easy but with care have lasted.

Great Audio and Noise Cancellation

For the noise cancellation, ensure they've sealed well around your ears, otherwise it's not good as some other reviewers have noted. Overall the comfort is pretty good minus the top headband. With the new narrow design it concentrates the pressure, which I find rather uncomfortable, especially after long use. I would definitely recommend trying the fit before buying. Given there isn't a star rating for comfort and fit, I'd give that 3 stars due to the issues highlighted above.

The WH-1000XM5 are beautifully finished in newly developed soft fit leather. This material fits snugly around the head with less pressure on the ears while keeping out external sounds. You may try adjusting the headband slider so that they cover your ears and have more personalized comfort. You may also find the following article helpful:

Super comfortable, works well with all my devices, sound quality is great for music and calls. The mic even filters your voice well during calls. Easy to adjust. The touch controls are very responsive. When powered on and placed on ears, they immediately drown out the outside nose. The mics work perfectly when on conference calls for which I use for work. The audio quality is superb which you can adjust through the Sony app to make it sound the way you want. The price was a little steep but well worth It!
