Connects very easily to anything I've attempted to connect them with. Sound quality is great. The auto Noise Cancelling or Ambient depending on what you do is somewhat a game changer. Not the best for calls, but music is transcendent!

My only issue is that these headphones are poor for phone calls unless I’m looking straight ahead. They are not good to talk on the phone when I’m doing things that require looking down. The microphone gets muffled terribly and the other caller cannot hear me anymore. I have to take one star away because being able to talk on the phone hands free while I’m doing things is important to me. However, these are really made for listening to music. It was like listening to music for the first time ever. I heard new things in songs I have been listening to for 30 years! When I listened to my favorite opera song (Flower Duet) I actually teared up. There have been zero connectivity problems which is such a relief after AirPods constant connectivity issues.

Effective misophonia relief

She tried other passive and active noise cancelling earbuds and headphones, and none work as well as these to block sounds that trigger her (chewing swallowing, sniffling, etc.) Sound quality and comfort are top notch. I highly recommend these cans for audiophiles and anyone with misophonia!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] Noticeable upgrade from the WH1000XM5. - Sound quality is a bit better, while keeping the custom EQ on the app. - ANC is clearly more effective - Having a round button for power and keeping the old long strip for ANC toggle is such a minor change but makes it so much better to use, no more getting the 2 mistaken for each other - They might not fold as much as the WH1000XM4 did, but at least different from the XM5 they do fold again which makes the footprint smaller, both in or out of the case

Sony needs to upgrade their SoundConnect app UI but the EQ still works well so outdated UI is the only small downside, would recommend.

Regarding the "smart" features, we understand how frustrating it can be when they are overly sensitive and interrupt your listening experience. The headphones are designed with features like "Speak-to-Chat" and "Adaptive Sound Control" to be convenient, but we know user preference can vary.
Fortunately, you have control over the sensitivity of these features. You can adjust or turn off most of these settings in the Sony | Sound Connect app. For Speak-to-Chat: You can go into the app settings and adjust the sensitivity of the "Voice Detect" feature to a lower level, or simply turn it off completely if you prefer manual control. For Adaptive Sound Control: You can also manage or disable this feature in the app. It allows you to customize the settings for different locations and activities, or you can set your noise cancellation and ambient sound levels manually.

I will say there are a lot more notes and the additional mics were very nice. Personally I feel like the noise cancellation was still the same if not a little better but the thing that sets these apart is the immersive sound. There were three different modes you could choose from and I really enjoyed how it affected the music on top of that. The new design with a wider headband and being able to fold was very nice. I also love how they changed the case design to be magnetic very useful. The touch controls also seemed more responsive than previous designs but overall they were really good headphones for the price though I do think that the Mx 4s are still more than enough, but if you are really wanting the top of the top headphones, I think these are good
