The Sony WH-1000XM6 are hands down some of the best all-around headphones I’ve ever owned. The noise cancellation is incredible and has been a total game changer for work. Once I put them on, I can really lock in and focus without distractions, even in noisy environments. The sound quality is excellent across the board, but what really surprised me is the cinema mode. Watching movies with these feels immersive and rich, almost like a personal theater experience. Everything sounds clear, detailed, and balanced, whether it’s dialogue, music, or effects. They’re comfortable enough to wear for long periods, intuitive to use, and just feel premium in every way. From productivity to entertainment, these headphones deliver on all fronts. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier noise cancellation and amazing sound quality.

Best Headphone Ever

It fits my large head comfortably, and even with glasses, it’s quite manageable—though extended wear might be a challenge due to my head size.

These are amazing headphones!

She decided to wait a year until these ones came out and brought them. Not only is the noice canceling fantastic, but so is is the ambient sound mode for when she commutes by foot and bus. The sound quality is phenomenal and theyre so easy to use with the app. Oh and the battery lasts days even with hours of use. Shes only charged them about 4 times, theyve never died, and shes had them for 2 months. I have yet to see her without them on!

Good quality, good upgrade from previous models

Sony needs to upgrade their SoundConnect app UI but the EQ still works well so outdated UI is the only small downside, would recommend.

Effective misophonia relief

She tried other passive and active noise cancelling earbuds and headphones, and none work as well as these to block sounds that trigger her (chewing swallowing, sniffling, etc.) Sound quality and comfort are top notch. I highly recommend these cans for audiophiles and anyone with misophonia!

Loved the noise cancellation on this. The clamping force feels strong in the initial days but when I used it for a couple of days, I grew accustomed to the force and now it feels so comfortable. The cafe mode is something that I am using on a regular basis and that just sets the mood while working. Also got a chance to do a bit of gaming (valorant) and it passed with flying colors. Would highly recommend if someone is coming from xm3s or xm4s. And for the people with xm5s (maybe suffering from hinge issues) I kind of feel the hinge here is good, no signs of breaking.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright the noise canceling capabilities are unbelievable, the ambient mode sounds nearly completely natural, i heard a leaky faucet while in ambient with music playing, they don't sound so airy (like the xm5s), the bass is solid and the new background music mode seems useful. The ai powered theater mode (spacial audio) seems hit & miss but isn't terrible.

I alway liked sony products and these don't disappoint. The materials are thin leather and plastic. So i will have to be delicate. Battery life is over three days.

Best Sony noise cancelling headphones yet

I had the XM4's, and skipped on the XM5's because of hinge issues and the sound was not as good. Now the XM6's incorporate the foldable design from the XM4's, and also the sound is way better, super well balanced, treble and midrange is clear, bass is balanced. The XM4's had bad treble and midrange clarity but the XM6's improved on that. The bass on the XM6's is also not as boomy as the XM4's. Good upgrade

Good with flaws

They comfortable and the battery is great. My biggest gripes are the build quality and the price. The headphones feel premium in some ways, but the hinges feel suspect and worry about their longevity.
