Regarding the email and text alerts, those are actually controlled by your iPhone's "Announce Notifications" feature rather than the headphones themselves. You can easily turn this off by going to your iPhone Settings and toggling it off.

We genuinely want every listening session to be a good one. Sometimes gently stretching the headband a little or adjusting the earcups angle can help loosen things up for a better fit.

As for the sound, one thing that might help is the Sony | Sound Connect app, there’s a simple built-in EQ, so you can fine-tune the bass and treble to match what sounds best to you.

The issues you described—poor sound quality, a "toy-like" microphone, and random shutdowns—are certainly not typical of this model, which features an upgraded QN3 processor and 12-microphone system for improved clarity. We recommend disabling the "Automatic Power Off" setting in the Sony Sound Connect app to address the shutdowns and performing a factory reset (holding the power and noise-canceling buttons for 10 seconds) to resolve potential software glitches affecting the audio; however, if the issues persist, it is very likely you have a defective unit and we encourage you to utilize your warranty for a replacement.
