Big issue was BestBuy Customer Service

That's just a personal thing. It took me two weeks and 3 days to figure that out. Put me just outside the insanely short two week return window. Seems everyone else provides 30 days. Anyway, BestBuy wouldnt budge. Im stuck trying to dump them on Ebay for a loss. I tore up my Bestbuy CC.

Sounds are great, mic is not good.

I have been on calls with people from my iPhone and I have had complaints about not hearing me at all and when I have connected it to my computer, people complained that I sound far away. Also it seems to cut off while on the phone it would switch over to the iPhone speaker on its own, without me doing anything. And I don’t what it is about those headphones, but they drain my iPhone battery so bad! I only listen to music on it mainly and by noon it’s already down to 65% after starting the morning around 9:30am at 100%. So despite the new mic system, I can’t recommend these.

wh-1000xm4 still the best for DRUMMERS

Too boomy on the lows when hitting the floor tom and other low end instruments. It looks like I'll be using my trusty old wh-1000xm4's for the next 3 years. If it wasn't $450 I might keep them around for other purposes, but the price alone is ridiculous, as is all the other brands.

Sony M6 headphones are fantastic ...but!

I connected wire on plane but could only get left side and subsequently I got no audio on plane or even when connected to job computer. No audio. Crazy but true. This happened May 24,2025 and upon returning to office post flight.

Regarding the email and text alerts, those are actually controlled by your iPhone's "Announce Notifications" feature rather than the headphones themselves. You can easily turn this off by going to your iPhone Settings and toggling it off.
