The only thing I wish could be done is connecting more than two devices at the same time, as you need to disconnect one to be able to auto switch between more devices.

Solid Update from the XM4 as an EDC

Purchased the XM6s after having the XM4s for several years. Compared to that model, swift pairing has improved and makes it easy to switch between several devices. Love that this keeps the foldable quality like the XM4s and keeps a smaller profile. Only thing that is an issue is when used is that there are times that the tap control features can randomly be activated (voice assistant/pauses audio) via harsh wind or other factors due to sensitivity. Otherwise, this is a great pick up.

We appreciate your feedback on the touch control sensitivity! While it is designed to make the controls highly responsive, it can occasionally lead to these accidental activations. One thing you can try is adjusting the touch panel sensitivity in the Sony | Sound Connect app. You can also temporarily disable the touch controls entirely within the app if you're in a particularly windy environment or on a bicycle ride, for example.

A downgrade from the WH1000XM5s

However, the microphone quality has taken a huge nose-dive. Multiple people have reported that I sound like I'm deep underwater now. I'm not sure what's going on with them but never had any issue like this with the previous model. I never had to configure the previous one and I couldn't find any settings to improve the quality. Not everyone is going to use them for that so it might not be a deal-breaker for most and maybe it's something that can be addressed in later firmware, but right now if your intention is using these as a headset, look elsewhere. Another minor annoyance- one thing a lot of reviewers I've seen praise is how these fold unlike the WH1000XM5s- unfortunately I don't think this really adds anything to them and actually makes it a bit harder to put on!

Also, if you buy a small receiver, you can use it wirelessly with your PS5, which has several options to enhance audio. Pretty awesome feature with that.

The sound is incredible overall and it blocks out the sound and annoys the area making it a very peaceful and calm environment.

The voice technology is unsurpassed by any other headphone I’ve tried. I talk on my headphones at work, in the car, while working outside and to go to sleep. People report (clearly) being able to hear my voice without any idea of what’s going on around me. The noise cancelling muffles exterior noises so I can focus on who I’m talking or listening to. I returned these headphones to try out the Bose headphones that are the same price and exchanged those for the Sony’s again the next day. The sound tech in these headphones excites me. The 360 sound is something that not even all music applications are capable of, yet. Overall, I am a 150% Satisfied Customer
