Noise is canceled pretty well. My only issue is every time I cough, sneeze or any other sudden sound around me the ambient sound shifts automatically turning noise canceling feature off. I have manually turn noise canceling back on. It would be nice to be set the ambient sound control to stay on noise canceling no matter what sound is happening around me.

We recognize that this auto-switching can sometimes be disruptive for users who prefer uninterrupted noise canceling. While it’s not currently possible to fully disable these auto-adjustments and keep NC mode continuously on, we encourage you to update both your headphones and the Sony | Sound Connect app to the latest version, as newer firmware may offer improved control or adjustments over these features. You can also review the adaptive sound and noise canceling options in the app settings—disabling features like Adaptive Sound Control or Speak-to-Chat may help minimize these unwanted changes.

Extremely Good - Coming from Xm5

Battery Life is Excellent, Sound is even better and Sony's new Cinema Feature in the app for listening is amazing for Movies!

Lot of customization on the sound profile to your liking, good bass and overall sound stage. out of box, comes with a bit of muddy middle, you can easily tweak the sound signature on the app. Great case, this should be an industry standard for premium headphones. magnetic case, some people will not like the mold placement, but once you get use to it, it is super easy to place it every time. It is not as comfortable as others Bose QC, but noise cancelling, sound, customization is just amazing!!!

Just what I was looking for

There are vey distinct sounds and tones that are required in order for the session to become truly effective. Previously I had bought the Bose Ultra but they were not meeting my expectations. I was on the fence of buying these for a while because it’s an expensive device. After a few months of contemplating, I caved in and I’m so glad that I did! The sound quality out of the box was just like the Bose Ultras however the sound truly gets unlocked when you download the app. I am no sound expert but I know what I like. The app is able to run a fit test and sound test to fit YOUR needs. Then it gives you an EQ setting based on your preferences. (You can also adjust the results to really narrow down your needs)

The music sounds so good and the battery life is not too bad. I noticed a few days ago though, that some of my music that played well on it, are no longer working well. I did get a 2 year protection plan, so let's see how that goes in case I need their help.

We would like to help you resolve this right away so you don't need to use your protection plan for a minor issue. We recommend trying this quick fix in the Sony | Headphones Connect app:
Go to the Sound tab.
Find the setting for Bluetooth Connection Quality.
If it is currently set to Prioritize Sound Quality, please try changing it to Prioritize Stable Connection.
This simple change often resolves unexpected audio playback issues.

Better than expected

As we get older it is harder to understand voices from the background noise and this does a superb job. I tried on different sets at the store and this one had soft ears. My husband didn't know how to plug it into the TV, so with quick free help from the Tech Staff we were set to go. Volume is controlled with your TV remote just like before.

Transparency actually sounds like it IMPROVES my hearing. These are worth every penny. Love the fit, and I have a big head. The fit is also great, I usually workout with earbuds because headphones slide off but these stay secured to your head without crushing you.
