That said, I've had several issues with the microphone not working even after doing a factory reset and firmware updates. I'll be taking them back in hopes of getting them resolved. For the money, I'd take a chance on something else.

I have plenty of $300 plus headphones. This is the latest and greatest from SONY. And it is worth the price. The theater setting via the app you download onto your phone makes a world of difference.

Distortion over bluetooth

Otherwise they sound great over a wired connection. I dont know if its android, equalizer settings, or just a software issue, but its really kept me from fully enjoying these headphones.

Since you're hearing distortion specifically over Bluetooth, here are a few things to check that might help: In the Sony | Sound Connect app, go to Settings and look for a setting called Bluetooth Connection Quality. If it's set to "Prioritize Sound Quality (LDAC)," try switching it to Prioritize Stable Connection. You can reset the Headphones and Disable DSEE Extreme as well!

I’m heavy into the apple ecosystem but after my experience with the AirPods, I made the decision to jump ship because of quality and longevity concerns.

Moisture got into one of the mics and decided to just buy these to try out as a replacement, and they've been superb.
