About the sound quality, you can customize it to be exactly what you like using the Sony | Sound Connect app.
Here are the simplest things you can do right now to make the sound better:

-Go into the app and look for the Equalizer settings. You can play around with the sliders to change how the music sounds.

-Inside the app, find the setting called DSEE Extreme. This feature uses our smart technology to try and make compressed music sound closer to high resolution audio. It can really add detail and a sense of space to the music.

-In the app's system settings, make sure the "Bluetooth Connection Quality" is set to "Prioritize Sound Quality" instead of "Prioritize Stable Connection." This allows the headphones to use better streaming formats like LDAC for clearer audio (if your phone supports it).
