Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the WH-1000XM6. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the noise isolation and EQ customization options, though we certainly want to help you resolve the unexpected powering off issue.

To address this, we recommend using the Sony | Sound Connect app on your mobile device. Please navigate to the settings and set the "Wearing detection automatic power off" function to Off. This feature uses sensors to detect if the headphones are being worn, and if they are shifted slightly or blocked by hair or accessories, they may turn off to save power. Disabling this setting will ensure the headphones remain powered on regardless of the sensor reading.

If the issue persists after adjusting that setting, the next step is to perform a factory reset on the headphones. To initiate this, please press and hold the power button and the NC/AMB button for about 10 seconds. When the reset is complete, the indicator (blue) flashes 4 times.

Please note that this operation will reset all volume settings and other customizations to the factory defaults, and it will delete all pairing information, meaning you will need to reconnect your devices afterward.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We're sorry to hear about this highly unusual issue with your WH-1000XM6 headphones. This is not the intended behavior.

We believe the vibration from a burp may be triggering the Wearing Detection sensor. You can disable this feature in the Sony Headphones Connect app, which should prevent the headphones from automatically pausing.
