That's definitely not the experience we want you to have, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the time you have to spend putting it back on. Your feedback about the durability and fit of that specific plastic part is really important.
For a potential fix, you can often find replacement ear pads for the WH-CH520 online. These replacements usually come with a new, fresh plastic ring/disc, which might have a tighter fit.

Though the midrange is a bit muddy on few tracks, this headset provides a overall rich audio experience.
