Review for Sony - WH-CH700N Wireless Noise Canceling Over-the-Ear Headphones - Black These headphone are great. The controls are very well thought out and work better than the usual squeezable controls often found on in-line controls. The buttons are easy to access and I especially like the play/stop and forward/back control. You can use it to answer phone calls and pause/play music, with a simple push, but you can slide it forward or back to change songs. It springs back to center. This is so much more intuitive and easy to use on a headset connected to your head! You can also hold down the play button to access Siri or Google. The audio from these headphones is top notch and the App lets you adjust the ambiance of your music to mimic various venues such as a concert hall or stadium. Using them for phone calls was such a nice experience. It was easy to hear the caller and they said I was easy to understand. The headphones use two built-in mics so their is no dangling wire with a mic to catch on your jacket. I also found the noise cancelling to work very well. I took one star away because the headphones do not come with a carrying case. I’ve found that I like these type of headphones best for planes, but I wouldn’t just toss them in a bag or backpack. For the price, I think they should have included a protective case for traveling.

First of all the headphones were defective aside from the fact that they didn’t actually do any noise cancelling. I was still able to hear all surrounding noises.

As over-the-ear, sound-canceling, bluetooth headphones go, these start out near the top of the pack. Good fit, good sound, and good sound canceling along with solid bluetooth pairing, but you expect that from a pair of headphones in this price range. What Sony brings to the table as extras are all the goodies you get with their associated app. You have the option to select from different ambient surround effects, placing you in a concert hall, an outdoor arena, or a club, among others. That, in itself, adds another whole dimension to the experience. But on top of that, you also get an equalizer with multiple presets and the ability to tweak it to your own preferences. When I combined the "club' surround effect with the "excited" equalizer settings and played a song with heavy bass, I could actually feel the headphones vibrating on the side of my head, and that was at a moderate volume. I usually feel most headphones are underpowered on the bass end, but you have the ability to tweak these far beyond what I felt was too much bass. These are great headphones to begin with, but the ability to customize them so much adds an extra dimension that I have yet to see in another product.

They DON'T cancel noise at all! $100 for nothing....

Bought for my son at a great price but they are not compatible with the PS4 like the salesman at bestbuy said. Make sure you do your research before buying.

Love the color. Love the way they fit over my ears. They don't slide around. The noise canceling option is nice especially when I'm in the office. I'd really like to try them on an airplane. I think they would do just fine. I think these would make a great gift for anyone of any age.

I bough this for my preteen kid. The headphones died 13 month after purchase. Time to get a set of Bose ... :(

Can't get it to work so can't use. Probably my fault as I don't understand instructions (I only have a PhD and am not a Geek.

Very poor noise cancelling device. I do not recommend this device. Do not buy.

I have never been a huge investor in headphones. I grew up on Apple earbuds and then graduated to Bose Soundsports (which I'm generally unimpressed by), and then saw these Sony wireless headphones for a decent price and bought them on a whim. My goal was go use them in coordination with a bluetooth transmitter for my home stereo receiver connected to my TV so I could watch Game of Thrones but not wake my wife for what is sure to be some of the loudest TV to come in recent history. I was SUPER impressed by these headphones (I bought them in grey which is a really nice matte color). Headphones are easy to pair, have generous sound quality for music but I was especially impressed with their range for watching TV. Digital receiver connected to a Samsung TV, headphone jack analog adapted to a third party bluetooth transmitter, streaming from a mobile device to Chromecast and all back to these headphones from 15 feet across the room. The bass in your ear actually feels like a woofer you were sitting next to. Voice is crystal clear, which was the biggest thing I was going for since sometimes I have trouble clearly hearing dialog on my home speakers. I'm not too sure how impressive the noise cancelling is as I have nothing to compare against, but the equipment over your ears on its own lends to nose reduction natively. I wouldn't have bought these headphones for $200 but all things considered and with the present price tag as of this review, they are well worth the investment!

I bought this for my mother but ended up returning.She said they were too big around the ears and heavy.

Headphones stopped working in less that a week not good

I haven’t used this a lot but exactly after 1 yr the product stopped working!!

I am a long time bose user and I travel frequently. I had a chance to test both bose and Sony WH-CH700N on my last trip. I would say Sony is at par with Bose except a bit behind for noise cancellation and bass level. Sony's grip level also not so great, at times it trends to fall down from head. At the same time Sony has advantage to dual connectivity via bluetooth and wired connection. Battery life is extremely good. After a long flight and usage of 7+ hours, at the end of the trip batter level still was "high". There are so many buttons and you may get lost in between. It may take a while to get used with button locations and functions. Considering price point Sony is a winner and I would highly recommend Sony WH-CH700N.

I love my Sony headphones!! Even after 4 years, they are still sounding like they do on the very first day I opened them up. The sound quality has not faded over time and I will keep hanging on to these!!
