We brought them on a flight with us, they don't completely block out sound, but for their price, they do a great job of it! They're also very comfortable! Also, we bought a pair for our eight year old, he's dropped them numerous times and thankfully they're still working!

They're not the MX series by any means, but a great budget Sony. I use them for telesales and gaming. No issues, but the noise canceling isn't the same as the MX series. Which should be no surprise. Grab em on sale and don't look back.

Please try these solutions below if the effect of noise canceling is not sufficient.
Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
