You may try some solutions below if you feel that the sound quality is low:
Turn down the volume of the connected device if it is too loud.
Keep the headset away from a microwave oven, wireless LAN device, etc.
Bring the headset closer to the Bluetooth device. Remove any obstacles between the headset and the Bluetooth device.
Switch the Bluetooth connection to A2DP with the connected device when the headset and the transmitting Bluetooth device are connected via an HFP or HSP Bluetooth connection.

You can’t go wrong with Sony. I’ve bought Sony headphones in the past and they have lasted long. Hopefully the squishy over-ear part will last for years.

For me, the WH-XB700 offers better sound reproduction. The noise cancelling is fine, but it’s no good if the sound quality is poor. Luckily I found replacement sponges for my WH-XB700.

OK for the price

I found the noise cancellation to not be great and sound quality just OK. Again, they are cheaper than the higher end Sony's, but I would consider dropping the money on the XM3 or XM4.
