The noise cancellation really works! The bass quality is really bad. It cannot handle heavy bass music such as EDM or hip hop. You hear the crack in the bass.. Def returning right away.

The noise canceling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off. Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient. Adjusting the headband and the earpads properly can help reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones. These headphones actually support super-soft, pressure-relieving earpads in foamed urethane evenly distribute pressure and increase ear/pad contact for a stable fit. For low sound, please turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device. Connect the Bluetooth device to the headset once again. May we contact for help? I bought these as a gift for someone else. I have the more expensive WH -M2 model. While it does not remotely compare to the WH-M models, for a fraction of the price I was pleasantly surprised with sound. Lows are a bit weak and build quality is to be expected for a mid-line pair of headphones.
