To be fair, they are the first noise canceling headphones I've ever owned, but not the first pair I've used. Being able to shut out a world full of distractions and focus on a task at hand is wonderful. They're not perfect- they don't cancel everything, they get a bit hot after 4 or 5 hours of continuous use, there's no option to use the power consuming functions while they're plugged into an audio jack (like on my PS4), and despite the fact that they're Sony brand and have a mic, I can't connect them to my PS4 because they're not a certified Playstation headset. Still, at the price point I got them at, they are an astonishingly good deal.

Glad to hear that we were able to meet your expectations with its sound and reasonable price. With regards the noise canceling feature, this function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. If the effect of noise canceling is not efficient, make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on ad adjust the headset into a comfortable position.

Noise cancelling works great

My opinion is they barely deliver enough volume. They also must be paired every time the TV is turned off and first thing every day after charging. They will not work while charging. On a brighter note. The noise-cancelling feature works GREAT! I cannot hear my wife talking to me!

While we are glad you like the noise canceling feature of the headphones, we regret you are having issue sound ang disconnection issues. We'd like to help and isolate these issues. For low sound level, try some of these solutions below.
Turn up the volume of the headset and the connected device.
Connect the Bluetooth device to the headset once again.
Note that when the headset is connected to an AC outlet or computer, all operations such as turning on the headset, registering or connecting to Bluetooth devices, and music playback cannot be performed. As far as your experience with headphones is unable to make a Bluetooth connection, please check the following below:
Check that the headset is turned on.
Check that the Bluetooth device is turned on and the Bluetooth function is on.
If the headset automatically connects to the last connected Bluetooth device, you may fail to connect the headset to other devices via Bluetooth connection. In that case, operate the last connected Bluetooth device and disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
Check if the Bluetooth device is in sleep mode. If the device is in sleep mode, cancel the sleep mode.
Check if the Bluetooth connection has been terminated. If terminated, make the Bluetooth connection again.
If the pairing information for the headset has been deleted on the Bluetooth device, pair the headset with the device again.

Sony has always been a good product and they had good reviews, so I thought I would give them a try. They feel good and the noise cancelling works well. The only issue I have with them is that they will cut out every so often. That can be very frustrating. I have been trying to figure out why they are cutting out. The only conclusion that I can come too is that the Bluetooth antenna in the headphones is not very good. If they would upgrade the antenna it would make them a 5 star choice.

Turn off the headset while the USB Type-C cable is disconnected and then press and hold the (power) button and the (play/call) button simultaneously for 7 seconds or more. The indicator (blue) flashes 4 times, and the headset is initialized.
