Good entry level headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box there was only a minimal charge so I had to charge them overnight. It did tell me the battery was low. FYI- the 2 cords included are very short. No carrying case or bag is provided. I paired them with my Android cell phone first and that was very easy to do. The pictorial directions are a little confusing. Push the middle button on the right ear to answer or hang up a call. Voice quality was good but a few people indicated there was a slight tunnel effect. Volume was very good. Noise cancelling is average at best. My Plantronics headset ($375) is excellent at noise cancelling and others cannot hear when someone is mowing the lawn or talking in the background. When I tested these, average to loud sounds were heard on the conversation. Wearing them at average volume, I could hear other people talking around me. The quality of the headphones was plastic with cheap leather ear muffs. The fit was excellent. Your ears will sweat a little. The instructions say that you may experience interference with 2.4G. We only have 5G so there wasn’t an issue. When I connected to music the sound quality was great. A little disclaimer here … I am an average listener and not as picky as some reviewers. Deep bass and high notes sounded good and I didn’t notice anything being “off.” Even my husband said the music quality was great and the ear pads comfortable. Battery length is excellent. Having used it for music and phone calls for 3 days it is still going strong. It does need about 7 hours to recharge although a 10 minute charge will give you an hour of use. I would rate them about a 3.5. They are good entry level headphones. Pairing them to devices was easy and the controls are easy to use.

Terrible

Bluetooth Disconnects Frequently

Malfunctions

Ears hurting headphones

What is biting my ears?

What is that hard plastic thing sticking out of the middle of the headset cup? Without very careful fitting, it digs into the cartilage of my ear. Avoid these.

We're sorry to hear some issues that you are having with your headphones. We'd like to help troubleshoot the problems. When charging the headphones, be sure to use the supplied USB Type-C cable. Check that the USB Type-C cable is firmly connected to the headset and the USB AC adaptor or computer. Make sure that the USB AC adaptor is firmly connected to the AC outlet. With regard on connecting/pairing the headphones, make sure your computer supports the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) Bluetooth profile. Bring the headset and the Bluetooth device within 1 m (3 feet) from each other and check that the Bluetooth device is turned on and the Bluetooth function is on.

- Try playing another source on the device. For example, try another music app to see if the issue is with a particular app.
- When you listen to music from a computer on the headset, sound quality may be poor for the first few seconds after a connection is made. This is caused by the computer transmitting music at sound quality for communications at first, and it is not a malfunction.
- Unfortunately, this unit does not support the Sony Headphones Connect app for adjusting the EQ and trying different sound modes.
For noise canceling issue:
- Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
- Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
- The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.

Headset with some great features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can always count on Sony for making quality products but, this headset definitely has both pros and cons in my opinion. I absolutely love how lightweight it is. The battery lasts an extremely long time to where I barely have to worry about charging it and when I do need to, it charges incredibly fast. I like the option to have it connected via aux cable or via Bluetooth. I was able to listen to music from my Xbox by plugging the AUX into the controller, and use it on my phone with Bluetooth since my cell doesn't offer a AUX Jack. Sound quality for both options sounded the same. The bass could be a bit better/stronger and the noise cancelling feature wasn't the best I've experienced. BUT It is very good considering how lightweight and versatile the headset is compared to big, bulky, heavier noise cancelling headsets on the market. Overall, I personally think the price point is a bit high at $200 so I'd recommend purchasing during a sale.

For wireless connection, the connected device should support A2DP Bluetooth profile in order to connect this headphones.
